What is Riot's opinion on Katarina?

My circle of friends reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally doesn't like Katarina. Are any changes being made towards making her design a little more bearable to play against? The issue isn't with her power level, it's just that she really brings down the quality of our games. She's not really fun to play against, and that seems like a universal issue.

I know she'd be pretty large scale to balance (resets), and it's kind of difficult for me to think of a solution myself, but what's your opinion on Katarina? Would you want to make her more bearable to deal with? I'm not talking immediate results, I just want to know which direction she's going to be moving in, if any.
