Janna is a balanced support atm, I dont understand why she got nerf so hard.

She has a poor laning (she isnt bully), she becomes a good in late game: -Her new passive is difficult to use by allies. Her passive was good to make you adc kiting well. -Her Q has low damage and knocks up. Charging it increase the chance to not hit your enemy. -Her W deals low early damage (but scaling well with base damage), and give her lose movement. -Countered by bursty champion like morgana, annie, graves, lucian, corki because they can destroy his shield making her useless for 10s and she cannot play aggressive against them. (in-meta) -Good pick with attack speed champion like caitlyn, vayne, jinx. (They are strong champs, but out-meta) -Her R is strong, but can be stopped, can save allies but also enemies if your positioning is bad.

She has more conterplay than other supp, so it is very difficult to understand with riot has more counterplay on her.

I hope she wont become another winrate urgot's friend.

She had an 80% win rate in season 4's worlds, and an 85% win rate in the series leading up to that. Janna's also been in the top 15 highest monthly win rates in a variety of searches ever since season 2, and probably a significant amount of time prior to that.

Janna would need to take a brutal nerf to get to Urgot tier. Considering her mechanics and lack of QQ, I doubt she'll really ever get knocked out of the top 30. Janna is probably the safest champion from joining Urgot's current state.

From what I can gather from the Sona rework and subsequent nerfs, Riot isn't fond of 'invisible power'.

Janna was and still is a super strong support. Especially if the adc is a more late game one. Successfully ganking or getting a kill on a Janna lane is really hard. Combine that with a "nope" ult and she's perfect. It was a great nerf, she's still the same, no one is gonna notice the difference.

Let's start from this: Thresh is more or less the Lee Sin of supports. BigLCSPlays forbids any serious rework/nerfs that deals with his lantern OR with his OP CC.

So, to give a nice kick off to Bard's sales, it's really convenient to bash a little the "nerfable" supports. Sona and Janna, why not. This way, not even Sona DJ will get in the way of Bard.

It's simple strategy.
