Riot needs to re adjust dynamic role select

I main top and so i put in top as primary mid as secondary (since it says the wait time is 20% longer for mid)

so far 8 out of 10 times ill get mid instead of top. Waiting 8+ minutes to get thrown into a secondary that supposedly is harder to get placed in is irritating.

What purpose does a dynamic queue serve if i cant even get the lane i want after waiting in queue for 8+ minutes? And why does it claim mid has a 20% longer wait queue yet as a secondary i get it almost every time?

Not saying dynamic queue is complete garbage but it very obviously needs some work otherwise i prefer the old 1+ minute wait of draft pic over the 8+ minute wait of dynamic to not even get your primary.

I've heard a lot of other people complaining that they choose "x" for their primary and mid as their secondary, yet they get mid more often than not. I think that is pretty weird considering mid is supposedly the most popular lane and it shows it as the longest wait time.

You're confusing dynamic queue with role selection. They are two different things man. Dynamic queue is the ability to be able to create a 2-5 man pre-made in ranked. What you are talking about is role selection. This is the exact reason why Riot's stats about dynamic queue are way off, people think dynamic queue means the ability to choose your role, it doesnt. Dynamic queue and role selection are two totally different things.

As much as I agree, they don't seem to have addressed this problem at all recently and any topics created on the subject seem to go unanswered. The worst thing about it is when you usually DO get your top lane, someone dodges and you're placed in another game shortly after in mid. As for the moment, I only let the matchmaking phase go so far before I close it out, and restart just so I can have my top lane, and if I get a dodger in the game, I cancel the matchmaking and start it over. It seems to work decently enough until this problem is solved. It really sucks when you want to play something specific in a specific lane and you can never get that lane.
