Conqueror cant go away fast enough

If I see Tryndamere Yasuo Udyr Aatrox Camille Darius Irelia Jax Kled MasterYi Pantheon top with Conqueror means that they will 100% at level 1 or level 2 auto attack minions for 4s and then jump you and there is NO way to out damage them unless you also are one of them with Conqueror.

This is a BS game mechanic and is in part why Top lane is such Trash.

The new FoB better not be the same shit.

if I see Kled, Camille ,Aatrox ,Pantheon with conqueror I know they have no clue how to play and top is free. Also it only gives 8 ad and the true damage does not matter that early so you can out damage them but most of them are lane bullies so it mostly is not conqueror as to why you are not out damaging them but yi,yas can lose a trade with most champions with conqueror on it is not op for trading, like urgot can beat jax with conqueror on and very easily out damage him.

It only gives a free item 1055 worth of AD at level 1 its nothing. eye role

For Tryndamere thats 16 AD

Going off that logic you much think if a champion has one long sword over you early into the game there is no way to fight him.

I looked up a few champions, and see base armor levels from 31 to 39 at level 1.

39 armor is 28% damage reduction. Let's say you would have dealt 100% of their health before resistances with your damage. Thanks to armor, you now deal 72% of their health. Thanks to conqueror, that 72% goes up to (100% x 0.8 x 0.72 + 100% x 0.2 = ) 78%.

That's 78% / 72% = 8.33% extra damage. That's ignoring the bonus 8 AD.

Now let's take Jax as an example. At level 2 he has 72.4 AD, with Doran's he has 80.4 AD. Let's assume the enemy has 643 HP (so 80.4 x 8 = 643.2 means 8 auto attacks would give the 100% damage before mitigation in the above example. As already discussed, without conqueror that would end up dealing 72% of the health or 463 HP (leaving 200HP). Now instead he gets 88.4AD, each auto does 88.4 x 0.8 x 0.72 + 88.4 x 0.2 = 68.6 damage, eight autos deals 549 damage.

549 / 463 - 1 = 18.6%.

So conqueror increased Jax's damage output by 18.6% at level 2. Right - totally balanced.

In comparison: Press the attack requires 3 autos on the champion (can't be built on the wave) (more than 4 seconds at level 2) to increase your damage by 8% and deal 40 extra damage (nowhere near as much extra). Lethal tempo requires a 1.5sec delay after damaging the champion (can't be built on the wave) to increase your AS by 40% - would actually increase your damage by more once it has started but in the example isn't as much damage. Electrocute would do like 33 damage before mitigation (almost nothing). Dark Harvest requires them under 50% and does 25 damage before mitigation (almost nothing) Hail of Blades is way stronger while active, but then drops after your first 3 attacks to nothing. In the 8 attack example, it gets you 9.5 attacks with mitigation, i.e. +18.75% number of attacks. So almost identically as strong assuming the fight is over after 8 attacks, any earlier then Hail of Blades wins, any later then Conqueror wins.

None of the others are even worth mentioning.

So basically: Electrocute and Dark harvest are useless. Press the attack is significantly weaker. Lethal tempo and Hail of Blades are both competitive. Lethal tempo starts too slow though, and Hail of Blades likely doesn't last long enough to get the kill.

Ok conqueror is the best keystone on jax and good job on the math for the most part but I think im missing something since I knew conqueror is the best keystone on jax and never said it was not so why did you do this?

The point is how much better it is compared to Electrocute or Dark Harvest mostly.

Like, there's nothing in Jax's kit that makes Electrocute weaker. Electrocute is roughly constant on everyone. Sure, it's better on people that want a bit more damage in a burst combo for a kill, but in general (especially in the early game) it's just extra damage output.

Jax gets 20% extra damage output in all of his trades as long as he has Conqueror stacked on the wave. Hail of Blades and Lethal tempo can offer close to that depending on the circumstances, but are situationally harder to pull off - and likewise both require you to be an auto attacker.

Other champions who aren't auto attackers don't get anywhere close to that with their options.

When we had old runes and Thunderlords Decree was taken on pretty much everyone, it shows that electrocute is a reasonable baseline. Yes, it's acceptable for a rune to be stronger than electrocute in certain cases. However the extent of the difference is too much in Conqueror's case.

Here's an unpopular idea,

What if you fought them in the 4 seconds before they get conqueror?

i know, your mind is blown imagining how this will change your life. It's crazy, I know.

That doesn't go very well. I've done it unintentionally before - before I realized how strong Conqueror was I engaged at my level 2 on a Conqueror user at level 1. He hit level 2 within those 4 seconds then even though I had about a 60% HP head start he still killed me first.

That's the definition of something being overpowered. If the only solution is to use the same strategy...
