Part of me wants to hope for this season to be better...

...but rooted deep down, I almost am certain that League is just going to keep going the way it's going: more hyper-mobile, flashy, playmaker champs that are problematic and shit to play against, more damage increases, balance just continually being thrown out the window, etc.

I've just been in this for so long that I just don't trust Riot anymore to make League fun again, or at the very least what so many people in the past thought fun was in League. Everyone has to do damage, everyone has to have some mobility or insane CC/ overloaded kit, games almost must be less than 25 minutes.

Maybe I'm finally getting out of my phase of enjoying League, whether that's just myself and time or just the forced amount of horrid changes and last few metas we've had, but I do want to think League is going to get better. I do, but with last season and how they're kicking off with a near all purpose stealing ult champ, who more than likely is going to be problematic like all the recently released or reworked champs, I just can't double down on that thought.

I'm sick of the direction of League has been taking for a while, especially last season, and just need to get this off my mind. I don't care if I get downvoted.

100% agreed. Riot has been focused on the 20 minute Asian cafe markets which this whole fast paced, snowball shit fest, crazy damage fiasco is all about. And I don't know what is going through their head either when they keep spitting out problematic, overpowered, overloaded champions as well. It's like they took inspiration from CertainlyT and that's all they want now and won't even consider making a more simple champion anymore.

Pisses me off so much.

If anything the direction is longer games.
