Unpopular opinion: I love the sheer amount of damage
I think if there was one step in the right direction with this update, it was the the fact that the old runes were completely removed. The fact that you couldn't beef up your early base armor/magic resist.
Why do I think this is a good idea? You HAVE to build resistances to become resistant
A: ADCs who typically go full glass cannon will SUFFER more than they benefit from this. Now they risk their lives to be able to deal out so much unavoidable damage. B: Damage-oriented melee champions will benefit the MOST (conversely) because they typically have very balanced builds with a mix of damage, on hit, buffs, armor/mr, and hp. C: AP champions also benefit early and mid game because of the lack of magic penetration items only makes sense IF there is also a lack of magic penetration items OR albeit less impactful, complete removal of the old runes.
