An easy solution to balancing everything in League: Two balance teams
This shouldn't be an issue for Riot, a multi-$illion dollar company who has enough money to spam League Ads through YouTube at me. I brought this up In the Mikaels discussion today and it needs a bit of elaboration.
Riot balances this game for high-elo, which is roughly Diamond I and above(reference below) or .15% of the playerbase. If there's 10,000,000 players by pulling a number out of the blue, that means Riot only balances for 15,000 players. This means there is 9,985,000 players who must fight on someone else's terms and I have always been against this as I will bet my life that those 9.985 million players pay exponentially more to Riot than the pitifully small 15 thousand.
So, with this in mind why does Riot only have one balance team? This issue is easily resolved really, simply change the state of items/champions/etc based on Ranked elo. This means Iron through Diamond II have their own balance and once someone is Diamond I they fight on high-elo rules. This wouldn't be an issue considering most people who are at that level are forced to study League balance like theyre working on their PhD unless they want to be at a handicap. It also means "low-elo" are not forced to play champions they love but have been absolutely gutted for the sake of LCS/etc.
I cannot for the life of me see a reason not to do this but I'm sure someone else might be able to point out the flaws.
