Adaptive Helm * Total Cost increased from 2650g to 2800g Build path: Spectre's Cowl + Negatron Cloak + 880g Unique passive damage reduction changed from [20% for 3 seconds] to [15% for 4 seconds].
I can't be the only one to notice that Riot is or either completely overlooking any impacts to new items and changes to Karthus on the last few years or really not aware of the fact they killed him.
Since 5 years ago i've seeing all my karthus main friends stop playing him on all different elos [mainly diamond 4+] because of the amount of impossible to deal mechanics and resources everyone have access.
Some time ago zed got his ult immune to
and i can't be the only one upset by how things work on reverse when we talk about Karthus.
It's time to we see a small rework on him.
Top problems:
1- Have a passive that punishes you for playing good [nothing to add if you don't die] and nothing changes if you are doing well. 2- Ult completely countered by basically everything in the game 3- Too much counter play overall on the current meta [and specially against people with low pings] 4- Low growing curve / snow ball potential when comparing to the actual meta of fast ganks / assassin domination even when played really well.
Top Suggestions [not to pick all or even more than 1]:
Ultimate:
- Karthus ult have an area around Karthus where all targets ignore shields, invulnerabilities, heals and all forms of helpful skills during channeling. OR -Karthus ult makes the targets he recently damaged with his Q to ignore shields, invulnerabilities, heals and all forms of helpful skills during channeling.
Passive:
- Everytime karthus lands an Q on an enemy champion he permanently gain small amounts of extra damage on his ultimate.
- If Karthus stay more than 5 minutes without dying, he receives a gradual bonus of movement speed and ap that increases every 5 minutes without dying.
Counterplay: -Increase his Q exploding speed depending of Karthus remaining life and/or -Increase his Q exploding size depending of Karthus remaining life or -Increase his Q exploding speed depending of his level.
Snowball: -Farming a minion with Karthus Q gives extra gold
