What would make -you- not ban LeBlanc?

dakota saturn··2 votes·1,432 views

The rework is controversial - some believe she is weaker, some believe she is stronger. Her winrate overall looks approximately where it's been for quite a long time, but her banrate shot up incredibly.

I'm a LB Onetrick. I don't play any other champions, so when she becomes perma ban I don't play ranked, because it's too risky.

Why do you ban LeBlanc, and what would be enough for you to stop banning her? I don't mind playing a weaker champion if she stops being perma ban. I'd much rather a weaker champion where I know all of their niches and combos, over a strong one that I never get the chance to play competitively.

I wouldn't ban her if someone on my team was pick intent showing Yasuo. I'd ban Yasuo instead.

Ok, so pretend I'm picking Yasuo in pregame, got it.

LB -is- the deceiver, after all.

Leblanc's burst is more spaced out, however, with her new waveclear she has the ability to roam and make plays across the map more often. She's definitely not op, but she's not bad either. In the right hands, a good Leblanc can devastate a team!

I feel you as a Riven main for this part where you said that you would rather play a weak champ where you know all the combos. Unfortunately, I don't think anything will stop me banning LB. Yesterday, I saw a stream (Adrian Riven) playing against LB, she literally 2 shot him with Q then E. She did like ~1500 with E. She did the same to 2 others, and triple with like 6 spells. Today, I played myself against her, I got Q-E-W and died instantly without being able to do anything. I had like 200MR, including an Hexdrinker. But actually, the only thing that would make me stop ban LB, is that she stops being ungankable and can't W-W or R-R everytime to gain like 500000 units. Even as Riven I can't chase her or at least fight her. I do recognize that LB is a champ that needs a lot of games, as Riven, but currently she's overpowered.

This is kind of what I was expecting - her sigil does way too much damage. High base and 80% ap ratio on a passive that is extremely easy to activate.

She is going to need nerfs on her mana costs, base dmg, AND Ap ratios to make her bearable to most people. I'm hoping that the difficulty of playing her discourages people from picking her, if she has to work that hard to do equal or less dmg than other champs. I honestly don't care if she does less damage than other mages/assassins because of her mobility and utility, but she simply has too much of everything right now.

I want my champion back :\

That's the problem imo. Currently, given that she's overpowered, everybody can pick her and do well. It should not be like that. Imagine if Riven was as easy as Garen. She would literally be at 100% banrate like the old Kassadin.

I think everyone can do well with her in lane now - that's for certain. Later on though, she becomes a bit tricky to pull off. Using her combos with her new ult quickly without any mistakes takes practice, and it's not something you can do your first game with her.

But it doesn't really matter if you're 20/0 from crushing everyone in the first 25 minutes - usually the enemy will just ff anyway.

As a LB onetrick, I fully support some pretty hard nerfs on her at this point.

While I messaged else where here what I think about her, I sort of feel different from these two. While yea her early game takes noooo skill at all, her late game is questionable. She has to peel for adc or jump on cc'd targets.

Her passive DOES do a crap ton of damage. BUT that's also most of her damage. If she doesn't kill them with the mark or get them extremely low, she isn't killing them. Also a lot of people can burst her before she can them. (Though more so late game.) I think people don't play around it right. Now it's still very strong and annoying to deal with. But I think her snowballing ability is the problem. That is partially because of her burst damage being to high early. Non feed lb mid/late I think the passive damage is fine.

i dont ban her cause i pick ap ezreal into her an 1 shot her from my fountain.

It's amazing how fun it is to outplay LeBlanc on AP Ezreal. I suspect her rework makes his E less effective against her though, with how often her clone shows up.

I would not ban LeBlanc if I was going her, or if Yasuo and/or Talon have not been banned already.

She's definitely stronger now if you know what you're doing. Riot will be nerfing her next patch.

Half nerfed, half buffed. Most LB's max chain last - they're moving dmg from her chain to her Q, making it much more consistent. This is a buff.

The waveclear is getting hit, but it won't be that big of a deal - W + Q will still oneshot most cs. It was weaker on the PBE than they are making it next patch, and it was fine there.

The patch will do nothing to affect her win or ban rates.

Astôlfo1 votes

I would only ban them if whoever was going mid is crappy enough they can't dodge her Ws/Es.

Korillo1 votes

I personally find her base damage too high. If she brings ignite, when she hits level 3 all she has to do is land 1 chain and you're dead. This means she can zone you pretty hard, because even standing back considerably she can just w, e, auto, q, auto ignite dead.

So basically I find she has too much lane control and no risk because she can easily w out of any possible gank, or flash if need be.

Then if you do happen to give her a lead, with all that lane control and now good wave clear she can just roam to another lane and 100-0 burst anyone she wants. She just swings a game too heavily for me not to ban her.

Kaioko1 votes

Outside of her ratios I kind of have an issue with how tanky she is. I know it sounds like a minor thing but she feels pretty tanky for a ranged fast paced assassin. Combine that with abyssal scepter and I find that not only does she crush you in lane, but you can't kill her.

Catastrop1 votes

The fact that I play her.

DrCyanide1 votes

I only ban LeBlanc when it feels like I or my team has been destroyed by her recently, similar to how I ban any Assassin.

If you wanted something to make it easier for you to one-trick her, then it'd have to be something to make less people want to play her. Slowing down her waveclear, or at least making it riskier, could do that. A very clunky mechanic that could do the trick would be making it so if W hits a minion it has a longer cooldown before you can dash backwards.

Komoriri1 votes

I wouldn't ban her if she was simply deleted.

Together with Talon, Yasuo, Ekko and Zed.

I have been a lb main for a long time. Don't really play her much anymore because I don't like how spread her burst time is now. But I understand what makes her strong atm.

Well I don't know what elo you're playing at. I think she's far more banned in high elo than in low. And the reason why is because of her early game presence. Her damage is insane early and is a huge bully because of it. Even if the mid laner against her manages to stay even in farm and not die, she'll most likely have them pushed to their turret because of her bs wave clear. This allows her to roam and put loads of pressure around the map. She will more often than not get fed in high elo because they know how to do this and successfully snowball the early game. Her late game seems to be questionable. Idk exactly how well it is, but doesn't matter because the game's probably over far before than.

To make her not permabanned I'd say her burst early game and wave clear would have to be hit. I think the wave clear is even more of an issue much of the time, though her burst should probably have a slight hit too.

I ban Leblanc like 95% of the time when I get to ban.

If they made her chain harder to land I might consider not banning her. I played her a couple times to see if I could figure out her weaknesses and was surprised at how easy her chains are to land. Her chain are like 60% of the reason you die to her.

Nerfing her damage is another option for me to stop banning her. A damage nerf is what I'd prefer. She shouldn't be doing that much damage with no items considering how easy it is to land said damage. No other assassin is that oppressive. Farming against her is like waiting for a grenade to go off in your pocket. You know it's gonna happen, and you know it's gonna hurt, you just don't know when. Any attempt to last hit could mean your death and there's nothing you can do to anticipate it and even less you can do to stop it.

I haven't seen her win a game yet since the rework. She gets crushed during teamfights easily.

xxxDogmanxxx1 votes

I don't find LeBlanc OP or even strong. The window to abuse her is much larger now, especially as I play junglers that have nothing to fear from her burst. I never ban her.

I'd rather ban Katarina because it feels like she can kill my squishy teammates far faster.
