Interesting Urgot Tidbit

Got bored... ran a random item setup out of a lack of anything better to do...

Why does Urgot's 'W' stack Rageblade? Lol he hits max stacks almost immediately, and apparently from that point on his W shreds everybody in his path.

It increases damage with each stack like normal... then starts double proccing W damage.

EDIT: Jesus fucking christ no one said this is a great idea to do in game, compared to other things. The question is why it produces a fully stacked rageblade in under 2 seconds.

My god kids get a life. Not everyone is trying to trigger a debate.

The downside is that you're spending 3300 gold for an AD/AP/AS item when Urgot has no AP ratios, doesn't do anything with AS, and the item in general does next to nothing for him outside of his W.

It only stacks Rageblade because it's basic attacks.

The last bit was the question. Whether the damage done by his W was considered an auto-attack for this instance.

Why does Urgot's 'W' stack Rageblade?

Cz it counts as an Auto-Attack? There's no rule breaking here.

Never figured a rule was being broken?

As how Variable has already elaborated, it isn't.

You apparently don't get what I am saying. Thanks though.

So does the point of this thread. You're not gonna encounter this type of problem in the future anyway since it's a rare & unorthodox build, so why make a thread about it. Even ironically speaking:

I was trying to figure out something about his mechanic more than the build. Thus where the question mark was placed.

Urgot's W does count as an auto-attack, and it also specifically states that it deals reduced damage with on hit effects. So I doubt he's really shredding anyone with Rageblade, especially since he's not going to be building AP for anything in his kit. He's better off, if you must go on hit, going with Blade of the Ruined King, as doing %HP damage, even at a reduction, will shred people faster.

Alrighty, yeah. Was basically wondering about the status of the hit type of his W. Thanks.

No problem! So keep in mind, he still works pretty well with Frozen Mallet, as he can permaslow someone caught in his W.

Eh Urgot was never a favorite of mine, so since his rework I'd played him maybe half a dozen times lol. It had never occurred to me to wonder if they were skill damage only, or just basic attacks that had been limited in effect. Gives me a couple ideas of buffoonery to tinker with.
