Lux's Balance State
Hello friends. Lux is balanced as if she were a long-range mage. She has high mana costs, high cooldowns, and easy to dodge abilities. This means playing against her is easy and playing as her is a little difficult at times. She also has very low resistances and health. Unlike true-long range mages, Lux's abilities are relatively hard to land at their maximum range. They're extremely slow and easy to dodge, rendering Lux's actual effective range much lower than her theoretical maximum range.
As a result, Lux is balanced as a long-range mage with low stats, but she really has only medium range if she wants to be aggressive with her basic abilities. Otherwise, enemies simply sidestep them.
Lux doesn't feel balanced because she's weak as a result of her high counterplay - her damage numbers are fine, but her abilities shouldn't be so easy to counter with mere side movement. It does mean that increasing the radius or speed of her spells would reduce some counterplay, but Lux has so much counterplay that this shouldn't be an issue. Lux should be buffed as if she were a medium-range mage.
