Mages and Reliability

Many mages are too unreliable. The advantage a mage gets from being ranged compared to an ADC is much smaller. Mages that are blocked by minions, like Morgana, have to land an unreliable ability to even deal any damage to opponents. This makes matchups into champions that don't rely on skillshots very hard and almost impossible to win.

TL;DR - Mages that rely on skillshots or that are completely blocked by minions in lane should be made more reliable with spell width or radius increases. There is such a thing as too much counterplay.

Morgana Q has to be blocked by minions because the hit box is fucked.

Of course Morgana Q is blocked by minions? It would be absurdly broken if it wasn't. Skill shots generally have other advantages tied to them. Xerath has some of the highest range in the game if he can hit his abilities, Lux and Morgana can CC enemies with their Q's and a Karthus that lands all of his Q's has some of the highest damage output in the game.

You forgot the most unreliable mage Ziggs .

Only 1 that is between is Karthus cause jungle Karthus is like twice as easy than mid lane Karthus.

"easy to win with ryze"

lol

If Ryze is so easy to win with, why does he have a 45% winrate? I'll tell you why, because hes the hardest mage to play in the game. One of the lowest ranged mages in the game with nothing for survivability except a measly speed boost. He doesn't get the same luxury other scaling mages have either like Cassiopeia Vladimir and Kassadin with point and click or huge AOE damage abilities. All of his damage is put into fluxed Q's and due to the loss of W root he can no longer QWEQ for guarantee'd fluxed damage. Ryze also has to deal with his Q getting blocked by nonfluxed minions, except he doesn't get the luxury of 1200 range on his CC like Lux Xerath Morgana do.

Lux can't have one of the highest ranges in the game, with good damage to boot, and point and click cc, just not how balance works.

Assuming this is the match your talking about. https://imgur.com/a/XUY2T2J You are playing a champion that heavily relies on her ranged advantage and vision advantage to oneshot people through fog of war, seeing as that is the case, buying literally zero control wards for the entire game, with yellow trinket at 30 minutes is not the best path to victory. The enemy team literally has a "hard to win with" mage on their team being Morgana. Also you built seraphs and voidstaff, while the enemy team has literally zero MR at all, and Lux is a heavily ludens reliant champion.

Conclusion. Lux isn't hard to win with, you are just playing her incorrectly.
