How the Hell do you beat this comp?

Please re-balance the game when its possible for an enemy team to lock in this comp.

Top: Kennen JG: Maokai Mid: MonkeyKing Bot: Sivir Supp: Blitzcrank

I picked Vladimir and could not do anything to them at all. I'd pool one CC but get hit by the rest (usually knocked up or rooted). The rest of my team was equally confused.

If they initiate and we counter-initiate we still lose, if we initiate we just lose. The game would have been equally screwed if I were playing someone like Ashe.

Which 5 champs would you pick into this show?

I mean come on...

Morgana Makes blitz a non factor on bot lane and can easy peel for ADC since Wu does no magic damage and can't break shield with his dash ult and maokai does little damage and can't break the shield so the only way the ADC gets stunned by that comp is kennen ult at close range or multiple CCs in a row.

Tristana As ADC = she and morgana can pretty much 2vs5 if Wu and Kennen are not fed. Tristana can knock kennen or wu away when they ult her AS steroid + splash damage + jump resets combined with CC imunity from morgana will make her wipe the floor with the enemy team

Irelia Simply as a counter pick to heavy CC comps. Her passive tenacity + gap closer + 3sec CC + Healing ult and AAs with true damage make her a nightmare for Kennen Maokai Wu and Blitz. She also has mixed damage so kennen rushing zhonya will still take a beating in lane.

Lulu Counter pick against wu kong.

  • Her Ult CD is shorter than Wu.
  • Her ult does knockback and slows in 400 AoE around the ulted target.
  • Cast time is legitimately 0.1 sec (same as wu kong) so if you do it the moment Wu dashes he will get knocked airborn and back after which you can hex him into a squirel (so you and your team can kill him. Before he returns to normal you click E on him so he can't go invisible for 4 sec with his decoy) or just W yourself and walk away with extra MS if you are alone and throw a Q on him (later in teamfights you just drop the ult on tristana when he jumps her)

With these 4 any jungler would be able to win but if you want to be extra brutal you would have a Olaf Cinder hulk + item 3800 You can invade Maokai the entire game as Lulu has better wave clear than Wu kong, irelia can follow kennen and murder him if he tries to help out Maokai in the jungle and the same goes for morgana + tristana into blitz and sivir. Later on Silvir ult will not be able to compete with Glory MS boost and Maokai, Blitrz and kennen will in no way stop a charging olaf from oneshoting Sivir (or chasing her so far out that while her team tries to peel off Olaf from her your Trist, irelia and morgana will make short work of them.

Galio Nautilus Yasuo Kalista Braum

EDIT: To be 100% honest, I just threw out some random team comp. I play support; I don't know these matchups. :D But these is sure as hell a comp I wouldn't want to face, ever.

Isn't Maokai and his point and click root while being tanky as hell the ultimate anti Yasuo though?

In team fights, if his team can follow up, than yes. Mao'Kai and other tanks beat out a lot of fighters because the lock down they have in team fights. Yasuo can still play around it if he's good and smart about his movement. If Yasuo ever finds Mao'Kai alone or not in big 5v5s, like 2v2/3v3 skirmishes, he will win.

Illaoi Top Ornn Jungle Brand Middle Veigar Bot Taric Support

Illaoi and Brand, win every single 5v5 they try to force. They HAVE to get close in order to do well together. They'll die if they do that tho. Ornn because why not, he can set up engages for the team from afar and provides extra CC. Taric cause you won't die, helps Illaoi kill everyone. Veigar cause free farm bot lane, scales hard, event horizon to stop all engages.

It's an AoE CC heavy teamfighting composition, the correct response is to pick a composition good at splitpushing and making picks. The enemy teamcomp is weak when individual members are isolated from their comrades, which is exactly what pick/splitpush comps try to do to their opponents.

Example comp: Top: Camille Jungle: Vi Mid: Diana Bot: Sivir Support: Leona

People in low elo absolutely SUCK BALLS at playing Split comps though in my view. Most of them have no idea how a 4:1 strat even works.

In general though, its hell unreliable. You make one bad play 30 mins into the game and you'll find them grouped as 5 and rolling over everything as you type commands to your confused team in panic.

It's true, people in low elo don't really know how to play anything other than teamfight comps, and often pick champs that aren't great at doing so (i.e. they pick champs that can 'solo carry' a game, which ironically are usually better splitpushers than teamfighters). In low elo, teamcomp isn't really on most people's radar in champ select, they're more looking to pick what they know and feel is good for their lane matchup (latter is less applicable to junglers). So I don't think you even meaningfully theorycraft team compositions for that elo (unless we are talking ranked 5s, which is a whole nother animal).

Splitting in general is hard though. Even when it is working well, it tends to prolong the game rather than end it to the point where death timers become very long.

If you make a few mistakes, it then becomes anyone's game. You're leaving it completely open-ended to some random 4 v4/4v 5/catches totally deciding the game in the end.

Actually at a certain point in most games, if you don't do some splitting, you will throw away whatever advantage you may have accumulated and stall out the game (at least at plat+ elos). It's usually instrumental in getting inner turrets and inhibitors (+their towers) down.
