As a new player this is really disparaging.

As an English teacher, this is really discouraging.

It means you aren't actually a "new" player. Also, it could mean you actually play at Silver-ish level. Which is really impressive, considering most unranked play at a bronze level or worse.

Get some pride. Unranked players seem to have that misconception that silver is trash, but ranked players are the best 1,000,000 players(1,000,000 players total in na ranked). Getting into Silver IV means you are better than 50% of those players, putting you in the top 10% of players assuming there's around 5,000,000 different league players. I'm telling you, silver players are SOOO MUCH better than unranked players. Even Bronze III beats 75% of all unranked players. Getting to level 30 is no easy feat.

Yeah, they queued on with a smurf. It happens, they can only do it 2-3 times before the smurfs MMR adjusts up. See the level 4?

It's just the way the matchmaking algorithm works, and honestly it's why I've been turned off normals recently-even in low ranks it's good to know no diamonds and plats will be on the enemy team.
