) can get those stats earlier. A stronger build-path/lower combine cost will make this item a little more convenient to build as well, and could inherit the +50% base mana regen, because seriously, why does this item not have even a little mana regen bulit in?
ive been saying this aswell. its a pretty obvious change. you dont even have to fiddle around with the stats itself or come up with some mini essence reaver like a lot of people asked. i think forbidden idol even fits into the combine cost of the item, so you dont even have to change the total item cost. and it would at least explain where the 10% cdr and mana sustain is coming from.

This change could seriously give the item a spike it could use in comparison to the League of Bloodthristers. I think it'd be a good change.
I believe people said something similar before. That essence reaver is pretty bad because it doesn't even give you the mana regen you need if you are going for this item. Wouldn't be surprised if it got changed to a build like this soon.
The problem is that champions that could want essence reaver can have manamune instead which is much better. I think essence reaver is a good item, but it is outclassed hard
