Tank runes dont feel like they are even there.

I know this post is opinion based so will most likely be downvoted but here it goes. I feel that unless you have Grasp of the Undying you feel that you don't even have a keystone on. Gaurdians range is super short and then Aftershock (or whatever it is called) is almost impossible to read or see any effect of it. Along with the keystones being less than impressive. I also don't understand why Font of Life rune is so hard to see on an enemy. I figured that when Bond of Stone got replaced by this that they would just use the same rune appearence that was already there. But instead it got turned into this tiny, tiny badge that is hid. Like I said this is just my opinion so will most likely get downvoted. But as a mostly tank player it bums me but I know all the DPS people are stoked.

I'd like to say, it's mostly because damage is so extreme (ask your friendly towers), but I have distaste for the minigames you have to play to proc tank runes. Meanwhile adc has to do a minigame called 'keep attacking the same opponent' and bam! Rune powers activate!

Tanks that stay in lane splitpushing/stacking are all good.

Aftershock + CC in laning phase has limited use, you want it for teamfights.

The biggest impact IMO is takedown exp. It effects a tank's per-level start growth. It's mostly an issue if you're on of the two best players on your team. But hey what are the chances of that?

Aftershock is insane. Don't underestimate it. A tank with good immobilizes has 22% more armor/resist than they did in the old rune package with aftershock, and about 3k per game free damage.

I don't know if you've noticed, but when you use an immobilize as Aftershock, you gain 30% Resist/armor for 2.5 sec. And, there's a minor that gives 10% after 10 min. The olds were 10%/5% respectively. Furthermore, you can build a healing hit which heals you THREE TIMES for the damage you do/recieve, and none of it is really negligible. Cinder + ravenous Hunger literally heals tanks + hp on drakes, so they can actually just stand there and not take damage and heal. In a fight, if you throw up Second Wind pre grievous wounds, it's insane at getting hp back.

if you're just relying on flat armor/mag resist, yeah. you're going to be garbage. if you rely on a good team, and good strategy, you're more oppressive than an Akali.

And yet tanks are completely overpowered atm.

Assasins are still trash, bruisers are even more trash then they were last season and tanks have top win rates in 2 out of the 5 positions in the map currently (maokai at 55% top lane, rammus at almost 56% jungle).

But yet the poor tanks are so useless!
