Theory on why your team is so bad

So I found these stats interesting and thought i would share. We all wonder why we get paired with players who have horrible winrates and who we feel dont deserve to be in that elo. Well i have a theory that your winrate determines who you get placed with.

EX: My main, which is this account, is p5 0 lp with a horrible W/L. When i play on it I only get paired with people who have below 50% W/L on both teams. Its like riot grouped people who are on a lose streak together for some reason.

EX2: On my smurf, Live2Letdie2, I am p1 with a 60% W/L and only get paired with people above 50% W/L every game.

What does this mean? I have no idea but i thought it was interesting to point out that if you have a high W/L you are paired against others with high W/L and if you are under 50% W/L you are paired with others that are the same even if you are in the same division with both W/L records.

So "main" accounts get the shaft, and smurfing is even more encouraged? Seems like a good system.

(Not sure I believe this theory, but the implications if it's true really suck.)

well the higher up the ladder you go you should have a decent W/L record i would believe otherwise you would just be dropping ranks. If you were a challenger player then you will also have a stupidly high W/L record by default since you would lose so few games and win so many while you climb so that you would have a positive W/L record for quite a while
