Actually, I just got banned, and I didn't use it. Didn't even know such software existed. Don't put everyone in the same boat...
In solo q, I was only Diamond 5 last season (55% Win rate), and am currently working my way up this season (50-55% win rate) at Plat 2. PRETTY sure that I would be a much higher rank/win rate/KDA if I used a cheat or hack.
I'm 99% sure that all the people got banned were banned for something else and my gut feeling is that there is an error in RIOT's coding that made us get "flagged." Question is whether RIOT will give us a chance to prove our innocence or not and just shut the door on us. I'm waiting to have someone who works from RIOT tell me exactly what is going on. Been a good mannered player since season 2 and have never even had a suspension or warning of any sorts. Being out right banned like this, is just way too harsh for what could easily have been a honest mistake.
That feels when you never cheated but some guy on the forums knows you better than you know yourself. Sherlock, unless you've looked over their algorithms and tested their software for false positives & negatives, I don't think your opinion matters.

i'm not convinced that's the case here, to be honest. i don't personally recall there being this many posts with a usual botting ban-wave. most of them know what got them banned and just make a new account and download another bot
I'm actually in Bronze 2, believe me, if I were to cheat, it wouldn't be so that I could be in one of the lowest ELO in the game. I'm innocent and have been banned for 3rd party content anyways...
