Is Aatrox supposed to be a melee carry..??

I recently picked up Aatrox, and I'm brand new to him.

I feel like he is a melee carry. Sure, he is a Diver, but he is melee and I carry with him.

You just chill, farm cs and your passive, poke, and all in when your passive is up for trades, rinse and repeat.

Q under tower when they are low when you can use it to fill your passive, e, AA to death, die from tower, revive, flash out.

Play passive when passive is on CD

Repeat

He's sort of a carry, but he isn't the greatest late-game, becuase why would his passive scale with his abilities? Better make it Base AD, so the only thing it helps is your auto's and engage, becuase why not.

thats weird. i always felt like he massively scales into lategame, but his early game is so terrible that he never gets there.

lategame he has access to enough defensive items that he lives long enough to fill up his ragebar and actually trigger his passive.

but before he gets there, hes usually easy to burst out before he gets the ga effect.

Nah, he's strong early and mid game, but late game, even if I buy 2 tank items, you still die before you can get your passive up.

So instead, I hyper focus farming and wait until I can engage pricing my passive, ult, ignite, and go ham.
