The Hecarim Changes help?

This is completely my own perspective of these changes, I could be totally wrong because I just got demoted to S4, and in the wise words of many Diamonds, "ur trash stfu"

So in a nutshell I think the changes helped Hecarim a LOT from removing his top-lane power and returning him as a Jungler, because I main him as Jungle and I REALLY hated the period of time when he was banned, because literally every game was a ban from the other team if I asked ours not to.

The mana costs really hurt though, not gonna lie from my perspective. In the past I used to start bot lane leash because it was convinient, had a solid routine of going 3 camps -> gank -> another camp -> back regardless of which side of the map we started on. Now I find that I can only do that on top side, where blue buff is my second camp to regen my mana. On bottom side I run out of mana to Q on my red buff (ofc it regens very very quickly, but still having me only do one q every 4-5 seconds, which can really hurt).

A clear solution to this is to just start Gromp bottom side and just drink a pot fully before I engage on blue buff (I won't ask top for a leash he needs his farm and I respect that), but that seems VERY ehh..

I find that it really affects my early game too, because I'm a powerful early game powerhouse. I usually have kills/assists before my first back, and I still do when Blue is my second buff on top side. Bottom side is a struggle.

Any Hec Pros out there? Can I have some advice to get around this, and to possible build path alterations with these new changes?

Personally my own thought out solution to counter these changes is to buff Hec's AS by a miniscule amount, but significant enough to get an extra hit or two in per camp. Make the jungling same as it was prior to the mananerfs and not really affecting the top lane too much.

idk help pls it's just not the same

I hate jungle and only play hecarim top lane but In 5.9 they increase the mana costs by over 50% at low levels but only increase the damage to minions by 50%, so all this means is hecarim clears the camps slightly faster, but the damage he does per mana spent is actually lower so your total damage output to the jungle is actually going to be lower. Coupled with the health and mana regen nerfs he received in 5.7 means Hecarim jungle is possibly worse than in 5.6 and earlier. Riot balance team isn't the smartest bunch around tbh.

The best you can hope for is that hecarim stops being flavour of the month and riot stop fucking with the champ and go gut some other random champ noone even complains about (eg Karma)

Ideally they would reduce the mana costs on Q because a 50% increase on mana costs is beyond ridiculous.

Hopefully hecarim stops being used in the LCS and I can finally use him in ranked.
