I am Confused About CS earnign you an S

On Elise, she doesnt feel like a farm instensive champ at all, during the early I gank a lot but farm from time to time so i dont fall behind. Picking up kills and assists left and right and snowballing my team to victory. I dont seem to get a lot of CS in the end mainly cause its not my concern as much as ganking was much and as well as I can for my teammates early on. Once late game comes around the assists and kills and what little I clear in the jg already gets me full build as elise's builds are relatively cheap it feels.

How much CS should I be getting on her? i hard carry and stillg et A+ but no S. Help me out? Why should I be encouraged to basically ignore my primary job early on for CS just so i can earn an S. Id probably lose trying to earn an S on her just farming all game. Riot should adjust the grades for specific champ statistics, not a standard 10 x min in game for all champs. Some champs are PISS EZ to farm and rack it up, others are much more difficult to farm if they wish to remain useful as long as possible.

Any advice for me to earn S on Elise more often? Elise

Pathing and taxing.

The way you recognize if a jungler is competent is by how they path, a good jungler (for his elo) is capable of understanding how to gank, while coming up with a strategical path that allows them to farm at the same time.

Another important thing to remember, is if your gank is successful and you get either the flash or kill, tax the wave, push it to enemy tower, i dont care if your laner flames you, just do it.

besides what PhantomGG said, it's also important to remember that scoring only compares you to other players on the same champion in the same role. This means that you need more cs to earn an S on farm-heavy champs like Shyvana and less for gank-heavy champions such as Elise

Is there a way to find out how much cs on elise I need?

No, and it'd be pretty much impossible to actually do so since it's not just cs that determines grade.

Your grade comes from a lot of different performance metrics, not just kda/cs, and compares you to every other performance on that champion in that role.

If you are literally the best out of all players in a bunch of metrics (say, you went 50/0/0 with 20 cs/min), but the worst in a bunch of others (no objective particpation, no wards, no ward clearing, low overall KP%,etc.), it can still come out to a grade than isn't an S+, despite the insane kda/cs, since the other factors are dragging you down. Meanwhile, people can do 'only' good everywhere with no single truly amazing stats, but still come out with an S+ just since nothing was dragging them down.

Point being, it's not like getting 7 cs/min is A+ but 8 cs/min is S- with well defined cut offs. It's a whole buncch of things working together, and if you can find any area you can improve on, it can help drag up your grade. If you're stellar in most areas you can be below average in cs and still get the S you're after, it's just a matter of doing as much as you can to make your performance shine.

Also, since theres constantly more performances, the relative performance required are in constant flux anyway. If there's a ton of really poor performances without compensating good performances (e.g. a pro does something on an unusual champ, so a bunch of less talented people try it and it goes poorly [e.g. mf sup]), what was an A+ worthy performance one day could be an S- performance the next, just since your percentile performance in the various metrics is better even if it's the same performance in absolute terms.

Right now, far too much weight is put on CS. You can jsut make sure you don't have a bad k/d/a and farm all day and score S. CS is important, but it needs to be toned down for Sup and JG. Nobody knows their algorithms, but I find if you have 200+ cs its almost always an S, as long as you do alright k/d/a. Since CS is important, it becomes much harder to get an S in a short game, so you can completely blow out the other team and still get A, just because the game was short.

Aight, so I just had a fantastic game of Elise. I UBER carried by splitting down towers, I only ganked on rotation with my jg farming route, I was 3 lvls higher than everyone else most of the game with over a 100 cs per 10min ration. I finished 15/4/6 with 344 cs for a 33min game. I got an S+.

THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN BEING 3 LVLS HIGHER THEN THE REST OF THE PLAYERS FOR MOST OF THE GAME! I REALLY see the value in CS more and how it is so under appreciated in Bronze/Silver. If I do this wtih Elise EVERY game, Im sure to get to gold this season!

SO....MUCH...FUN..

Very good job. That is huge CS for a 33min game. The one thing to be sure of though, is do not steal all of the CS. I usually tax whenever I gank, but it is possible to keep the rest of your team from being strong enough. Then if you get killed, nobody else on your team can hold the enemy. So if you did that and still allowed your team to keep building GG! Looking at your game it looks like Lucian did fine though, and the other team farmed horribly. I hope you have future games as successful.
