I would like to see a magic resist item that works like Thornmail, I call this item Psyshock Helm. Psyshock Helm returns 30% magic damage from spells back to the attacker, or 10% if it is an aoe or multi target spell. Based on magic resist itemization options currently available, this item should probably provide 60 magic resist, and no other useful stats.
Edit: Things like Darius's W are not spells, but auto attacks for the purposes of the calculation.
Catbat1 votesThe problem is people use spells to get around thornmail and people will use auto attacks to get around this item. While I do agree that we need more items that give magic resist, a champion with both this item and thornmail would be so tanky without a way of counter playing the tank once they got some health.

Vampiric Scepter1 votesIt wouldn't work. It would make burst mages kill themselves. ADCs get lifesteal. Most mages don't get spellvamp.
Lizdeath1 votesOne suggestion I have seen with this would make its unique passive a unique active with a 40s cooldown. Since I rarely see ADCs with more than one life steal item, maybe 20% and 5% would be more reasonable.
ArnMagnussson1 votesYeah i think the idea is probably not going to happen due to what the others are saying, but i do really want another MR item that gives more MR then current items in summoners rift. Like Thornmail and Frozen heart both give 100 armor, the highest MR on one item is 55 in SR so i would like to see an item more like the Orb of Winter included of the rift.
Meep Man1 votesWe already have Banshee's Veil. This would also really break some characters like Heimerdinger, Yorick, even Annie. It would either cause them to damage themselves constantly due to their pet or if it damages the pet, make them useless.
