Reduced IP / LP Gain for Toxic Players

yep.

EDIT : If you're too lazy to scroll down and search, we added with the idea of Rito actually having hoo-muns working the Tribunal rather than a Bot system. Like, a department that gets paid to literally just OB games/chats/etc etc.

League community is too sensitive. I can understand if someone is being straight up toxic as in they're calling you terrible names and harassing you. However, why do you have to cry if there's banter.

Whenever someone outplays me and says "rekt" in all chat that just makes the game more fun for me because it makes it interesting. Don't get why people report over that. Grow up. People will report you over anything these days and you will get punished so easily since no one is actually looking at these reports.

If anyone says "rekt" or "outplayed" their not hurting me, its just obnoxious and they need to knock it off.

Nucleophilic atk1 votes

That's just called trash talking. That isn't toxic at all lol.

AbsoluteSadman1 votes

Its not toxic but its irratating.

Nucleophilic atk3 votes

I'm glad people like you don't run sports lol.

Safety makes big hit "BOOOOOM SON"

whistleeeeee "This guy is being mean. He is no longer allowed to play the game"

AbsoluteSadman1 votes

saying boom son =/= get rekt fgt

Nucleophilic atk1 votes

Saying rekt =/= get rekt fgt either.

Don't change things around buddy.

AbsoluteSadman1 votes

Theirs a difference between a little gloating and belitiling your opponent.

I think you can figure out which one is okay and which one is being a douche.

IcyPepper1 votes

rekt is gloating

get rekt fgt is clearly not okay.

So you're half right, but changing the wording from rood to douche didn't support your argument. Yes, calling someone a fgt is borderline toxic if it's consistent, but saying "rekt" once after an outplay is just part of the game.

There is a line, but don't draw it to include everything.

Alright, my bad. Thanks for not treating me like im dumb.

Eh, no worries. I was worried for a moment if I came on too strong and would start a flame war over it.

And the worst I'd ever do to someone who pisses me off in a game, while this is not one of those cases, is bat them on the nose with a newspaper just like based Sky taught me.

Nucleophilic atk1 votes

Yes, there is. The first time, you had an example of a little gloating and said it's obnoxious and needs to stop. Then, when questioned, you turned it into belittling your opponent to make it seem OK from your end. I'm not sure where the confusion is here.

But ip is pointless after a certain point?

Yeah, which is why I threw in the LP gain. I mean, Toxic Players can smash talk all they want. They can be those guys who just trash talk the team and backdoor for game. But I think they should get reduced LP or something. Yeah, good work for winning the game. Bad work for trash talking your team the whole game and not grouping and stuff. I don't know, just a thought to reduce the toxicity in this game. It doesn't bother me as much verbally, but when they start neglecting the team, refuse to group, etc etc, then it becomes a problem.

FHMarshy1 votes

Well consider this, people trash talk you non stop and report you for being toxic. Happened to all of us I believe. In that case, you got trash talked to, and received reduced LP.

How's that?

iLuma1 votes

Well, which could be laced into the whole complaint that Rito needs an actual "Tribunal" department that literally get paid to review Toxic behavior. Watch games, review the chats and everything. Like, I would apply for that job immediately. It's kind of like those Loss Prevention teams at retail centers.

FHMarshy1 votes

I have actually never been punished for any toxicity given that I myself am a rager in game. Hence that is why I believe those who ACTUALLY got punished deserved it.

If a rager like me still isn't punished for my toxicity, those who do are definitely real jerks on a consistent basis.

Nucleophilic atk1 votes

Do I get to reduce my LP/IP loss for having toxic gameplay?? Such as feeding, etc.

WESTFALL1 votes

How abut Reduced IP / LB Gain for Sensitive Brats that report people for the smallest things thinking they're the angels of the game and the white knights of this community ?

thinking man1 votes

This'll just make the problems worse since ranked rage also results from shit LP gains.

IcyPepper1 votes

Er, gains come post-game before you can report, and there's already punishment systems.

If anything, afk's should get a slight reduction for their first offensive for awhile, and severe for multiple repeats.

ofart1 votes

I think that's a horrible idea only exacerbated by the lack of Tribunal. Enough false reports atm will get you punished. Riot can't have internal oversight when there are tens of millions of players playing.

Moreover, one's ranking is SEPARATE from toxicity and general behavior. This idea would reflect something inaccurate for positive players. It would show them to be ranked better than a toxic player EVEN IF their skill in the actual game is lower. It's misleading and makes no sense.

yep.

and if the person is found innocent of those reports you file you end up getting negative gains for false reporting.

also the report system works under technology not human eye
