Do bad players get rewarded for playing broken overpowered champions? A discussion

I play countless games a week and despite my username, i usually try to get kills and win the game. I don't back down from ANY fight, and if i carry i carry. If i feed, i feed. I see players in games doing the exact same thing as me. They be super agressive, take trades like they mean nothing, and have zero regard for lane mechanics. Yet...for some reason they always get fed or come out ahead.

I'm a noob. I dont have perfect mechanics and neither do any of the people reading this thread. They are noobs too, but get fed. Why? Because their champion is broken overpowered.

Yuumi is a prime example of a broken overpowered champion. Cannot be targeted. Does outrageous damage. Heals their host. Does too much for 1 champion. This is a common theme for league of legends.

Right now, if you don't play the meta champions, you lose. If you do not pick the most broken overpowered champions in a given lane you simply cannot compete and you will lose more games than you win. It's pathetic and dissapointing. I've played this game since season 2 and it has NEVER been this bad. Don't be fooled. Viewer count means nothing. Nobody is enjoying league anymore and it simply comes down to too many broken overpowered champions being in the game.

Yasuo, as well, is an example of a broken overpowered champion. His kit makes it so that even if you shut him down, he can get 1 kill and come back into the game. This should NOT be this way. Bad players get rewarded for playing easy champions.

Sona. Yuumi. Yasuo. Riven. All easy champions who scale too well. All broken overpowered.

If i enjoy playing Lucian, who is a hard to play and techincally challenging champion, I can never win because i constantly get shut down by overtuned champions bot lane. It's frustrating. It's depressing. It makes me hate this game.

I'm sure everyone reading this has an example of a broken overpowered champion. I can think of 30. And riot is making the situation worse. They have failed to balance the game for the entirity of the game's history. And now they are making champions' kits broken overpowered as well?

In closing, i'd like to say that if you play a broken overpowered champion because it's broken overpowered (Sona, Yuumi, Yasuo, Riven, Ezreal, Twitch, Miss Fortune, Varus, Ashe, Braum, etc) you are the problem with this game.

haven't you heard of the 'd5 janna' ?

yes ofc there are champions that are ez to play and climb. especially any champ that can be out of position and not be punished, or overloaded with cc (ie. maokai/naut) /damage (ie. irelia/ jax).

im convinced yi mains have a brain deficiency and their champ should be less than 50%. its like wow that guy in the wheelchair (yi player) just outran (more than 50%wr) marien jones to realize something is wrong. and having every champ at 50% wr doesnt make sense.

It really depends on the meta, as back in the old days tanks could 1v5 like when Cho Gath would pop stone plate and eat you're adc at full health (Still exist btw)

This meta honestly does reward people for playing the meta champs as mage items are so dominate at the moment. The current meta for support is either going Lux or Karma and spamming shields all game and any non damage building champ is irrelevant at that point. Top lane Challenger is a bunch of Kennen mains who press two buttons and then carry the game. (The sad part is Kennen is a hypercarry with a good lanning phase). So yes the meta does advantage bad players.

Just look at the pro teams, any mage that has a skillcap that can excel in one category is instantly above a 50% win rate in the pro league. Its kinda sad to say, but in general the meta is just a bunch of mages firing shields, burst, and cc at each other while the adc and top lane split push other lanes.

Riven in general needs to be addressed as the champ has a 52% win rate when 45,000 games have been recorded of the champion. While I will admit Riven does take skill, once the person learns the champion, the champion is blatantly overpowered.

Yasuo does scale way to well, I agree with you on that one, but the champion is only really good in lower elo

Yuumi is well, a form of unavoidable poke while lane against and her poke is oppressive. She really could use a bit of some tuning to become less of an oppressive cat.

any tank meta where having triple the cs of a tank does not matter.

I honestly agree with you. im a plat4 (bad player still) player and i just get destroyed by rivens even if they're bad due to their riduculous scaling and basically most op champs like morde. something i hate is coming out of lane 5/0 and let my enemy opponent farm because i gotta help other lanes but then they scale and get better items and just dominate me in later fights. its really unrewarding nowadays to come out of lane fed unless ur a op champ and because bot lane decides games nowadays it hardly even matters who wins top or mid. I play offmeta picks like nocturne and other poop champs sometimes because i never can find myself happy playing stuff like yas and riven however i played alot of old morde so its hard for me to just stop playing him. Anyways yes bad players do get rewarded for playing bad champs since champs like vlad and morde just basically are brainless man and its so hard to stop them because of how overtuned they are.
