I see a lot of players in my Facebook groups making new accounts and are trying to climb but are unable to. I'd like to shed some light on people who believe that their individual play matters in League of Legends.

It doesn't.

Right now league is 100% entirely based around pro players. Riot does not care about the common player because they arent the ones who are getting sponsorships and followings on twitch. Do not be fooled by patch notes. Riot does not give one single ____ (cant type that word or mods will ban me) about anyone under master tier.

Please new players. Do not think that you can climb solo queue. The game is balanced around 10 player PRO matches. At the very most you can hope to have a positive winrate if you duo queue with someone your elo.

EVERY pro player (zero exceptions, i mean EVERY pro player) duo queues to their rank. If you try and truly solo queue you are at the mercy of your team. You cannot 1v9 carry anymore.

The biggest misconception, i re-iterate, in leaguie of legends is that you can solo carry a game. You can't. To win a game nowadays it requires absolutely perfect communication between you and your 5 teammates. Absolutely PERFECT communication. If you duo queue, that eliminates 1 of the 4 other teammates. If both of you play broken overpowered meta champions, you stand a chance of climbing.

I really hope that people realize to give up if you are solo queueing ranked games. Unless you play 5,000 games+ this season, you cannot climb. Riot is incompetent at designing a good game anymore and all of their developers are terrible at their jobs.

I'm a new player. My old account was low gold before I decided to make a new one. In a month I went from unranked to gold 1. I have a 63% winrate right now over 71 games played in ranked. There's been plenty of games that I've solo carried. I also /muteall my team at the start of every game and communicate exclusively through pings. I also don't duo queue.

Stop projecting your insecurities onto an entire player base.

Yeah, no. Smurfs that play solo and have 98% winrate up until Diamond 4 disagree with you.

They are spamming champions that can carry and are easy to snowball on. They are strong if you know you are better than your competition and will get fed. And even if they are spamming meta, they are playing SOLO, which the OP says is impossible to climb as. And that every high elo player either duoqueued or played 5k games. Which is pure bs. Any challenger player can get to diamond 4 SOLO within less than 100 games. FACT

Pretty sure I managed to get gold my very first season by playing Udyr Shyvana MasterYi and powerfarming the jungle, avoiding teamfights for the most part and rushing every available dragon and tower. It doesn't get much easier than that, and all a new player needs is the right mindset and braindead strategy.

I don’t think anyone first timing a moba is going to see success for awhile.
