Where does zed ult land him?

Had a question about zeds ult.. when zed ults you does he appear wherever your champions back is (so like behind you no matter which direction) or is it like the opposite side of where he ulted?

Thats why if youre good you can counter him as youll know exactly where he'll be

So no matter which side he starts on, he will always appear way from the direction they're facing?

Say, for example, my character is facing towards Zed, and away from my turret.

Zed ults me, and I turn around so I'm facing towards my turret.

Will he appear between me and my turret? Or will I be between my turret and him?

You will be between the turret and him. He always appears behind the back of the target the moment ult animation is finished.

Always stay facing away from your turret until Zed appears. Until he appears, your turning will change where he ends up.

I know this is a year old but for anyone who reads this, you want to be facing your turret when he lands. That way you will be able to get away to your turret without having to run through him to get there as he will be in between you and his turret, not you and your turret. So unless you are trying to get him to take turret shots facing your turret is the best option to get away.
