Anyone else unable to log into league even though the severs claim to be "online"?

I am having this problem as well. I was sitting playing some custom 1 v 1's with my friend from Canada (I am from Texas) and when we both went to restart our client since we both were experiencing lag we had a message not allowing us to join the server claiming we both had "connection errors"

Yeah, can't log in...yet Riot's excellent and fantastically accurate? server status page says everything is online. They have a bit more trouble shooting and communicating to do.

Prolly Riot took the servers offline for a little while to get a patch up quick. No time to alert the community.
