Simple Fix To Make Annie Less Toxic

Spice POWAH··2 votes·395 views

I was thinking that Annie's early game tibbers should have a tiny time to react to it, and I mean, like, .25 seconds for only the first rank. the reason a lot of people hate Annie is because of flash-tibbers. I know riot wants to keep flash-tibbers because it makes annie help counter all the "un-counterable" champs. so giving that tiny reaction window let's someone panic-flash until she hits level 11. this way her mid/late game isn't hurt while losing to her feels bad if the only reason for losing is because of flash-tibbers. Plus she can still flash-W anyway so it would be telegraphed more.

What does everyone think? Would it feel less bad to lose against her in lane?

It was suggested before that Annie should actually be throwing her teddy bear instead of just magically making Tibbers appear out of thin air.

Really? Huh.

The More You Know gues it wouldn't really be a summon though, then.

She doesn't need any nerfs. Without flash she can't do anything, she relies on her only escape to get a kill. Nobody complains about Ahri flash + charm or Diana Q + R or Ryze flash + rune prison

Ahri charm and Diana Q are both skillshots, so I don't see the comparison there. Comparing F + rune prison vs. F + Tibbers doesn't seem right to me since it isn't really a strategy I have seen, not to mention Riot outright supports flash-Tibbers being in the game. The main point i'm trying to make is that it feels bad when that's the only reason you lost lane since there isn't much counterplay to it because of the early game range it has aside from trying to guess/predict it(Which could be said for pretty much anything), she would still have flash-W to kill things, it would just be less safe.

It's what makes annie "annie", and it's the only thing she can really do which is why she isnt used in competitive. (item 3102) Changing this would just change her whole character and at that point you might as well just make a new champion. Annie's w and r are both skillshots anyway.

Annie isn't used in competitive because she's really predictable by pro players too, isn't she? besides, not everything needs to be balanced competitively. The whole point of it is to make (arguably) the most toxic part of her kit less toxic, at least in laning phase. I don't see how having a small delay on her rank 1 ult would change her whole character since the other player still needs good reflexes to react to it. Also, I'm pretty sure her w and r are considered placed abilities, not skillshots, like brand w.

Edit: oh yeah, and the other guy's still screwed if he gets stunned by another ability...

To less mobile (and lower ranged) champs, she just feels completely unfair to play against, especially when she's fed. If she gets even slightly ahead there's nothing you can do and even when behind she's still a threat. You can't shut her down, yet she snowballs hard.
