Tanks mobility
Why does it seem like most tanks have better escapes and bursts of speed then other classes?
Why does it seem like most tanks have better escapes and bursts of speed then other classes?
Because that is supposed to be a secondary strength of Tanks. They are durable enough to survive in the middle of the enemy team and useful due to utility, but they need a way to get into the enemy team and start using that utility.
Juggernauts and Artillery champions are the ones that have lack of mobility as an intended weakness.
I see Garen use his ability to flee more often than to engage. Its so annoying, especially because he silences you and then sprints away. Its a little much. You can't use abilities to chase him down because you are silenced AND he just sprinted away. This is also made more annoying by the fact that he looks like a fucking idiot..how the fuck is he silencing anyone?
He can't sprint away if he silences you. His silence is his sprint.

Lmao wtf you don't even know how his fucking abilities work.
Garen can't use his speed up if he silenced you, because it puts it back on cooldown.
The fuck are you talking about?
Garen, Voli, Gragas, Sion...etc etc. They have better mobility abilities than fighters, except like Riven and Yasuo. They come, in soak up damage and then when the going gets tough they run away like fucking cowards.
Sion is the only example there that's a tank and his mobility is tied to his ultimate. Using it to escape or engage has longer lasting consequences than Garen's (a juggernaut bytheway) Q.
Garen? Mobility? What?
Movement speed boosts are not mobility. Dashes, blinks, and jumps are mobility.
That's also ignoring the fact that you're mistaking the term "juggernaut" with "tank". Two different groups of champions there mate, with two different sets of strengths and very different sets of weaknesses that keep those strengths balanced.
Its a retarded distinction made by an incompetent company whos given us a terrible season.
No, it's a required distinction that allows two sets of champions of similar champion to have different strengths and weaknesses.
You being unwilling to accept it does not mean it is incorrect, or that the company that uses it is incompetent. Get with the times man.
Riot couldn't balance a cube on a flat surface if their lives depended on it.
This a company who's leadership has risen to their own level of incompetence.
Instead of retaining players they shun them for new casual players.
And yet here you are. If you don't like Riot or their game why exactly are you here? Go play Overwatch or something.
Or are you one of those people who secretly enjoy forcing themselves to do things they don't enjoy? Why else would you stick around here and complain about things you have no hope of seeing fixed?
Get real dude, tons of players really don't like League or Riot, but they stick around regardless.
Personally, nothing would give me more satisfaction thann Riot failing and every last person in leadership roles at Riot, making decisions, be poor, sad and lonely for the rest of their lives.
Yeah, people like you are a problem. You know what the loudest statement that can make Riot change their ways is? If people stop playing. If "tons" of people are playing even if they hate the game they are part of a very large problem.
Still, I like how you go from not understanding that there is a difference between clearly defined champion types that, while recently redefined, have always been separate (Garen used to be a Fighter, and has never been a Tank) to bashing Riot. Should have known you wouldn't bother putting up a real argument.
Always easier to make crappy points followed by insult throwing, right? Who needs to do difficult things anyway.
Yup, Garen who almost always builds full tank items is not a tank. I see the logic. My god, what is it like to be so easily duped by Riot idiocy? Hes a fricken tank. End of story. Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck.
Oh I'm sorry, I forgot that Ashe can be a Tank if she only builds tank items. It's not like the role of Tank has requirements other than having high defensive stats, right? She definitely wouldn't be a useless waste of space for not having a kit that allows her to fill the Tank role.
Thank you so much for correcting my ways. I'll get right on convincing everyone else around here that you are right and literally everyone else is wrong. I'm sure Riot will change all champion classification accordingly so that every champion is listed as a Tank, since any champion can build tank items.
If you'll excuse me I'll to talk to smart people now. Have a nice day.
Wow. Building tank Ashe doesn't make her a tank, just because she could build tank items. Now, if all those tanks item scaled great with her and fit her kit, then she would be a tank. But they don't so she isn't. Garen, however, can build all tank items because they DO fit his kit, and thus, he is indeed a tank.
See, this is why I added that last little line. You got so caught up on my sarcastic example that you couldn't even pay attention to the point I was making.
If you actually want to talk about this let me know, but so long as you're trolling I'm going to stay away.
There's more to tanks then a particular build working for them or not. Tanks need to lock down targets, peel for their team, and start fights.
Garen is a poor example of a tank because he can't really engage an enemy team, nor can he peel outside of hurting people enough to make them run away. Damage is not an acceptable way of preventing people from hitting your team as to say a stun or knock up.
For juggernauts, their CC is death and death isn't reliable CC.
Course you don't fucking care.

tanks are divided in 2 different sub categories as far as i understand:
peel focused tanks are called wardens. example: taric, braum, poppy, and i guess shen. diving initiators are called vanguards. i guess those are the tanks youre reffering to. example: sion, leona, nautilus, sejuani, malphite
part of their job is usually long ranged initiate for their team. they are supposed to dive into the enemy team from long distance and disrupt priority targets or as many people possible with cc.
edit.: nvm. op is retarded.
Should have been able to tell that from the opening statement.
It was pretty obvious they didn't know the difference between tanks and fighters (though I might just be pessimistic from seeing it so often).

actually no. from the op itself it wasnt clear, since a lot of tanks are decently mobile. sejuani and shen have dashes (even when not long range), malphite and leona can really dive onto opponents in an instant. nautilus is spiderman just swinging around the map with his q. etc.
Eh, I'm probably just pessimitic.
I've seen people make the exact same mistake with roughly the same opening topics, so experience let me know what to expect from the start.
Honestly this person just doesn't care.
Best to ignore them. Downvote and move on.
Ok. It's clear that you don't actually care about the topic and are here to bash Riot.
If that is all you're going to do, please be upfront about it in your original post so people can downvote you and move on.
No, I would rather keep wasting the time of people like you.
Garen and Volibear ARE fighters.
They are also low mobility champions because they only have movement speed buffs.
Fighers that nearly always build full tank. Right.
Fighers that nearly always build full tank. Right.
Garen almost never builds full tank.
Do you seen Riven, Aatrox, Yasuo, Tryndamere, Wukong, Jax, build FULL tank?
No, because they are FIGHTERS. VOLI and GAREN are not fighters, I don't care what Riot wants to call them
Both fighters and tanks and build defensive items. The main difference between them is how they threaten the enemy team.
Fighters are primarily a threat due to their damage.
Tanks are primarily a threat due to their utility/CC.
It's a common misunderstanding.

Yasuo's hot new top lane build builds two damage items that also have HP, and then full tank.
Is Yasuo a tank now? Because that's how Garen builds.
Sion has mobility...what are you on man. Share that stuff. He has his ult and that would be it and it is easily stopped. This post is all kinds of bad.

Garen and Volibear are fighters, and they have less mobility than, say, Aatrox. Sion also has less mobility than Aatrox.
Holy shit you're clueless.
