So I got smoked by a Darius as Nasus and on top got camped by a Panth and was 1-9

Then 35 minutes in I pretty much solo the entire team and tank 5 turrets for the win. It feels weird being able to actually be useful with a champ after getting beat down that hard. Is this balanced?

If an enemy team stomps a late game carry, but can't figure out how to push that early lead to close out the game they deserve the loss. You may have done something to help with catching up or stalling things until later on, however based on what you said the enemy team definitely threw that match.

Looking at the match, it appears that:

  • Their team was primarily physical damage, so your team could just stack armor (not sure why you bothered with Spirit Visage instead of getting Warmog's Armor or Thornmail, but whatever)
  • Their Zed fed your Yasuo like crazy
  • They didn't really have any convenient way picking out people on your team while you had Wither and Dark Binding
  • Your team had better vision control

So basically, their team wasn't really able to prevent your team from stalling the game long enough for you to become useful again. Considering their team had no teleport, they couldn't really stop you from splitpushing without sacrificing other objectives to your team and your teleport pressure.

The fact they shut you down and the game still hit the 35 minute mark means they squandered that advantage and still let you build up. This isn't a champion balance issue as much as a players-being-bad issue.

I saw this said in another thread so I can't claim credit for it but it's completely true:

  • Nasus is hard-countered by enemy players being smart enough to push the win quickly.
  • Nasus synergizes well with stupid enemies who dick around, run off to all do their own things, and can't be fucked to push objectives.

If you were playing against me you never would of come back:

-would deny your farm -would zone you in lane -would end the game before you could farm enough to be relevant

they sucked

Even if you do shut a Nasus down early game, if you don't take advantage of it. He'll reach late game 1 shot mode eventually.

He takes So long to get going and is so incredibly dependant on his stacks that if you can keep him down and take out his team so you have a massive lead from a 5 v 4 he basically can get to the party too little too late. The big thing ive noticed about Nasus is he puts the game on a timer before hes able to legit 1 v 5 pentakill.

No, that's how you catch up. You cs when behind and get that gold income, Nasus or no.

Kills don't win games, and the enemy team underestimated your power and probably let you cs under tower, didn't they?.

Nasus is SO useless early game...

I guess someone didn't get the joke. Sure, you can stack and be relevant, but ypu will never 1x5 as nasus, especially vs a fed dariua and pant.
