Because before it came people always said to have some experience in all 5 roles before doing ranked anyways,this just makes that rule mandatory literally and since Riot didn't remove it despite the massive backlash over the years maybe this really was their intentions.

Gravirose1 votesI think autofill only has one purpose; making queue times shorter, I think players were more versatile before the new solo que changes that allows you to choose the roles you want over pick priority champ select. I remember in season 5 I would get support role taken a lot, so I had to fill top or ad a lot, I was a much versatile player than compared to now.

Then que times were long af for anyone other then supp because no one likes to supp. Then they added autofill to lessen que times mean whole guess what that autofill will get you supp 9 times out of 10.
