"when they think there is basically nothing else to do on the map"

because its time consuming but still there are times it has its place

It literally falls BENEATH farming normal jungle camps in priority.

maybe if it had a health bar more akin to early drakes so someone can solo it. Currently it takes alot of two people to do it for only one person to get the buff. And people are selfish in solo que.

Depends if you have a fed fiora split push. Giving her rift herald literally means that she can push to the end of time and do so much more. Other than that you are correct.

There's probably a discrepancy between Pro play, and YoloQ.

I think the problem is Agency. In the Pro scene, the agency of individual players doesn't really matter if your helping the team meet success. But in YoloQ, people are only going to concern themselves with a Buff that helps them. And because of herald's Eye mechanic, you pretty much need 2 player to take him out, to get a buff that will affect at most one of you.

The only way I could possibly see the Herald surviving, is if Riot made it either easier to Solo, or actually give more than one copy of the buff.

thats what i said in a later comment they should bring it more in line with the drake and maybe nerf it to 5-10 minutes for the buff.

Or a permanent buff

like a permanent defensive buff for example

5% damage reduction and deal 2,5% of your hp in damage vs objectives or something like that

Tbh in most solo queue blood moon games before hyper end game its a noob trap purely cause so little DPS, how easily you clump for ambushes and steals, and the limited vision.

So it's exactly like normal Herald.

It's weird, cause there are plenty of junglers that can solo any of the dragons and these give a significant buff to the whole team. Yet the buff that's only for one person, is temporary, works only when that person is alone, and has a meh buff when compared to the drake buffs is also the one that you need AT LEAST two people to take and even then you'd need a third to really feel confident about taking it without dying.

Like... there's a serious misalignment with the risk/dedication of time and effort v.s. reward of the two objectives.

Herald is good on a couple of champions. I ping for it every couple of games.

He's not even Rift Herald. It's the 'Demon Herald'.

Funny because I kill rift herald in most of my games as Singed. It makes my pushes do so much more. As singed, I kill him in about 80% of my games (100+ games as Singed). And now I'm hearing that he's being removed because not enough people kill him. So that's nice.
