What if I have 16LP and I lose 20LP while I am silver 5? Will I have 0 lp or will I be Bronze 1?

you'll stay silver 5, with 0 LP.

You will be at Zero LP at Silver 5.

However your hidden MMR (match making rating) will continue to go down. This will make it harder to gain LP in the future until you can bring your MMR back up and will also cause you to be matched with lower ranked players. I'm in Gold 5 at the moment but I mostly get matched with Silver 1 and Silver 2 players because had a few bad loss streaks.

If you lose so many games and your MMR drops so far that you are primarily matched with Bronze 5 players, at that point you risk being demoted to Bronze.
