Current Cho'Gath Tips:
There are some misconceptions about the new Cho'Gath I want to clarify:
First -
- The one shotting that happenes when people play Cho'Gath is not common at all. There is just a good probability that if Cho'Gath becomes fed, is allowed to stack, or has the ability to get directly on top of a squishy target that this happens at all.
So Let's talk clarity on Cho'Gath.
Cho'Gath is a Mana champion so in lane if you pick someone such as
, odds are you'll do just fine forcing him to use all of his mana while your cooldowns (or energy) rejuvenates. This shuts him down early in lane.
is especially good at this due to his empowered auto attacks that deal % health damage.
Second -
- Cho'Gath stacks health due to his passive so certain champions and items counter him very hard.
(are just some) There are items built to shred through the massive amounts of HP that Cho'Gath possess as well
.
If Cho'Gath manages to get through his laning phase unscathed, he may become a problem. If you possess one of these items by the time teamfighting roles around, you should be able to control him through kiting and crowd control.
Third -
- Cho'Gath Is a champion that can be used to secure epic monsters such as drakes, herald, and baron nashor. If you pick fights around these while their jungler is dead, his ultimate may need to be burnt on the objective attempting to secure it.
If the opposing team's jungler has been killed I recommend attempting to force these objectives.
Fourth and Finally -
- If your team does not bunch up close enough for his Gargoyle's Stoneplate (
) to become 100% adequate. The lesser amount is still much better than the entirety of the damage from 100% health bonuses.
I do not wish for this thread to become something where I am defending a champion, I am simply attempting to enlighten the community based on this one champion that is a current issue. I would like some feedback if possible (not needed if you do not wish):
