Why Twisted Treeline SHOULD NOT be removed in the future
I have played twisted treeline hundreds of times, as if equally with SR and to hear that it is leaving is heartbreaking. And so I have listed some reasons as to why it should stay and what rito could to to help it
REASON 1: It has a unique gameplay mechanic TT has two alters in the game. Having an alter on your side grants you an advantage. Having two alters grants a large advantage. Vilemaw in the middle amplifies the current alter buffs and grants some additional ones as well. Giving something the players to fight for other than kills and towers gives it it's own unique flare. How to improve/fix The way the alters are located is one on each team's side. The players can risk the chance of stealing the other's alter on their side of the map. Perhaps if the map was a little larger (maybe the size of nexus blitz or smth), you could have the alters in a triangle shape. One for each side, and the third on a lower or higher point on the jungle, to give some more focal points of interest and recognizing the advantages of having them. Then you could put Vilemaw in the center of the triangle to represent the power of the alters.
Reason 2: It serves as an alternate to SR SR is the most popular map by far, and that's how it's always been. But sometimes players just want a different game to play. The same thing over and over get's old sometimes. Howling abyss is also an alternate as well, but why does it get more love that TT. I'll explain later. This game is about to have ONLY 2 maps to play on, and no TFT doesn't count because that's a whole different game. That's pretty poor for a game this large. How to improve/fix GIVE QUALITY OF LIFE CHANGES LIKE THE ONES I LISTED FIRST. Ya wanna know why SR and HA (howling abyss) are never gonna die? Because riot focuses all of their quality of life stuff on them. Think about it. When's the last time that Riot has tried to improve on TT (and no the outer turrets don't count because that doesn't do much and it was a long time ago anyway)? If Riot actually showed something to improve, it could get more attention instead of just giving up altogether. Sorry for this morbid analogy, but here we go: You wouldn't take someone off life support until you have done everything you could to save them. Riot has done barely anything compared to the other maps to improve them. Taking it away then showcasing it like twice in a RGM (which hasn't happened in like a year) is not a healthy way of trying to help a map.
Reason 3: It's shorter matches Ever just wanna play a SR but you don't have too much time, but you want a similar experience? TT is the answer. Dominion didn't work for other reasons, and the timers for games were for hours. But TT isn't like that. There are WAAY more people playing TT than you think. You can get into a game pretty fast. It's a short match for some fun that people actually play How to improve/fix Advertise it? Put effort into it? Emphasis a recommended map to play? Actually all my improves/fixes have the same core idea: HELP THE MAP
if you read this then gj. Thanks to listening to someone, but what do i know?
