Aatrox Rework Thoughts??
I see the aatrox rework as a more controlled combo champion who keeps them close enough to hurt but not enough for them to hurt you. Aatrox has been one of my favorite pocket pick champs that i pull out in any role to have a fun game and do relatively well, and I don't think that the rework will change that he still feels like aatrox just more abilities and less autos. For all those that are saying that this champ is similar to riven are completely right, he feels like riven after my first look i thought this was just a copy pasted riven, but after looking at him more closely i realized that he is a lot slower and needs to be a lot more presice with his abilities in the combo's giving him a nice skill ceiling. I don't feel as if he is identical to riven just similar which is okay, because for over a year now people have been asking for simpler designs on kits and no more new mechanics, so this rework is a step in the right direction with very familiar abilities and playstyle but it's own unique twist. Although the w is a new mechanic it isn't iconic to the character and is a very small part to his kit overall so i kinda just overlooked although i find quite cool. I loved aatrox for the longest time especially because he was the first 6300 IP champion that i bought and all my friends laughed that i wasted my ip on that pile of garbage, it gave me a drive to improve and currently he is my only mastery 6 champion that i have( i have 2 tokens and im going to try to get him m7 before the rework). I love the step riot has taken with this champion and even if the champion that i loved will be gone this new one still feels relatively the same unlike previous reworks(galio, urgot). I was sad about urgot. My best winrate on 1v1 at 100% with 19 games played among friends of lower and higher skill, rest in peace.
Oh and um i see the complaints about his voice and tbh i kinda like it especially the accent, doesn't match his theme but i still like it.
on the Q, sure, but come on Riot. I'm glad and satisfied with the fact that they actually gave him attention, I just feel a bit salty and underwhelmed that this is the result we get. His passive is now his ult (don't care how the ult resembles
since I actually like how it looks) and that just really gets to me. It's more reliable now I suppose, but I can't tell you how much I'm going to miss getting first blood at lvl 2, dying only to have my bloodwell save me. I have no idea what else the new ult is supposed to offer you (wouldn't mind a reliable chase down aspect of it that makes you more sticky). I don't actually mind the W all that much. It's like a scorpion, I'm just saying, "GET OVER HERE" kind of thing. I am in <3 with the fact that his healing actually has better scaling and no longer requires three hits to proc. As for the new E... I don't think I need to explain how laughable the range is. Has some outplay potential since you can store 2 stacks of it, but the range either needs an increase (still don't know how much extra dmg it offers) or it needs to be replaced with something else. Despite my satisfaction but more abundant disappointment with the rework, I, and just about everyone else that things it's lazy, are no doubt going to give it a try. Might make it work, might not.
