Honor CheckPoints for Levels 0 and 1

So I was reading the patch notes a couple minutes ago and I was wondering why exactly you needed checkpoint for honors 2-5 (aside from the new reward system) because the levels themselves seem like the checkpoints because it isn't that hard to get from 2-5 (in my experience only took around a month to get honor 5). Then the ban hit me which i could understand from your view point why it was given to me, although at first I was a bit pissed because it's the way me and my friend normally talked to each other and he reported me for int and added hate speech as a secondary and then he told me he did it and he got a perma for the same reason although i wasn't the reporter. Back to the topic tho at Honors 1 and 0 it is really hard to see if you're making any progress so i would very much appreciate it if you could implement the checkpoint system for those level without rewards ofc but just to see if were making progress because after 2 months of sitting here without any hint of if I'm doing any better is a little bit annoying

Any response to this from anyone will be appreciated, (I am going to add a poll because it looks fun) Thanks.

EDIT: I am so sorry for the rant I clearly miss read the patchnotes because I am so happy there are checpoint in between levels this is infinatly better than before. thank you for anyone who answered this and I am sorry for my own stupidity... I'm also happy to note that I have made progress in the honor system being at the second checkpoint already in honor 0 yay

I think that it would be nice if there was a bar of some type that told us our progress per checkpoint. While there are 3 checkpoints now implemented it doesn't tell us/indicate to us exactly how many honor we need to complete each checkpoint OR give us an indication of progress (i.e 10% of checkpoint 1, 17% checkpoint 2 etc.) Telling me I'm at checkpoint 0/3 for lvl 3 is just as helpful as telling me I'm lvl 3...

I got banned in the beginning of august and now after over half a year I am at a 2/3... I get 2-3 honours for staying cool and/or friendly almost every game. And I just want to point out that what it took you 2 months, took me over half a year. So from that I get the assumption that honor is completely luck based and it makes me sad.... so thats my story of honour Best of luck ob reaching honor 2 soon, Sincerely a reformed player PS I would not care about honor that much if not for keys. You get none until you reach honor 1 and now I have like 10 chests and 0 keys since august :^ )

I don't agree, and i'm level 0 honor so... I don't think people should focus on their honor level and say "this much more till I get checkpoint X" or something like that, people shouldn't focus on leveling up because the goal of the honor rewards is to be honorable by heart and not by Grinding it. the honor level should be earned so it's a suprise when you get it. Not where you know exactly when you get it cause then it's more grind

so, how long does it take to get to honor level 1 then? ive been at this for a couple of days had numerous honors and havent been in the least bit toxic/negative towards teamates and enemies alike. but it is a little discouraging to see honor level 0 with 0/3 checkpoints, what are these checkpoints? are they amount of games i have played? are they the amount of other summoners (not in my group) that honor me? so confusing, riot please explain

I think it would be nice if it meant anything but I've been at honor level 0 since the middle of last season and i haven't received any penalties and I wouldn't say I've been the nicest but I haven't been toxic and I haven't gone up at all.

Took me about 2 weeks to get to honor level 2 after a 2 year hiatus from the game. After reaching level 2 its taken me over 150 games to get just one check point. I get honors almost every game, most the time 3 honors. Half my games i get them for shot calling, I'm thinking that the type of honor determines how much you get? Seems kinda pointless if i'm going to hit 500 games soon and still won't have level 3 honors.

I have gotten to a point with this game that I only want my chat privileges so that I can talk shit when I feel the need to as I find it fun, and or have a good time with my team as I also find that fun. If riot wants to ban my chat once for flaming people who are trolling and talking shit to people who are inting then so be it. I no longer care and I will not try and reform that much as it took me so long to gain honor level 5 and I lost it because I was toxic in preseason when riot is partly to blame. If your going to allow match making to be so unbalanced and your putting toxic bronze people on my team and pairing us with Bming plats then yes people are going to be toxic. Its human nature! People like to banter and talk shit from time to time. Its not grade school. If you cant handle someone spam pinging and telling you your trash etc then don't play.. or use the mute feature. Furthermore if you're going to remove someones honor and put them at 0 and after 3 weeks of keeping their mouths shut they havent even gone up one checkpoint o.0 how is that helping someone not to be toxic? If anything its like wow I'll never get honor again fck this I'm going to talk as much shit as I feel the need to here and there. I know how much I can get away with and I will continue to do so . Take your keys, chests, borders etc and shove it lol :) good night I'm done xD

Considering you need to do something "wrong" i doubt riot would implement checkpoint rewards because your never supposed to go below honor level 2.

Anyway, I read your comments about checkpoints because I was fed up with the fact that I sit for more than 6 months with 0 honor, so I went to your help but I did not have to ask you for anything. During these 6 months I rarely played on this account with 0 honors I just did not want to, but for a month I really tried because I wanted to get in touch with the team to get gold 1 before the end of the ranking season, as I say the same day I turned on lol's, I logged in, and boom, unlocked 1 honor statuses! :) I had to be after so many games I can finally play with the key fragments in mind :)[slayer-pantheon-rainbows]

Given the number of posts we see here on the boards with people wondering what is going on with how long it will take them to regain honor level 1 and 2, I think it could be a good idea to implement the checkpoints. It would give players some indication of whether they are making progress at reform.
