Quite honestly, I feel that if a support is able to get a kill then the rest of the team is either incapable of getting the kill or it's something else on the team's end. I know that there are supports who steal kills on purpose, but seriously, if the support gets a kill then it was probably because we couldn't get one our-self.

Also, should the support just sit and wait until you get the kill or you die before they start hammering away abilities?

Errrr no... Supports actually have high base damage.. Look at blitz for example, his grab + knockup + ult will take atleast 40% of an adcs health guarenteed...

Sometimes you just take the kill it happens

three spells 2 of them super high cd (in fight wise i know blitz ult cd is low as shit and strong as luxs if he has ap) to only do 40% of a no defense squishy's health is high base damage

To be fair, if all the gold my ADC had was a Doran's Blade in the time it took me as support to build a Deathcap, it means they are hopeless at last-hitting minions and you better believe I'm "supporting" him and the team this way.
