I used to play so much rammus top back in the first days of LoL. I really miss the no F $%@s given approach to playing rammus. Just d curl in an enemy team/turret dive and never die. Dunno why Riot decided people actually needed to be able to kill him.

I can tolerate him in most match-ups, but I still ban him pretty often because he's one of those champions that even if you win lane against, or out-farm him or whatever... he just buys a cheap item and suddenly he's untouchable.
I've been playing Illaoi top lane a lot recently, though, and can't say I care about him up there. He can only block my E, but it's not very broadcast and it's pretty easy to get around since he can't just dive me through it since I can still damage him with everything else. And I have more than one viable armor option as Illaoi, whereas as a mid mage I can only go Zhonya's.
Which actually might be the bigger problem with Yasuo or Zed in the mid lane. Mages just don't have options to deal with them. They have one choice.

Zzz. If Yasuo gets behind, he will not be "untouchable". He isn't like Irelia that can just get Triforce and go from 0-10 to carrying the game. When Yasuo gets behind, he becomes someone who can't catch up unless he gets a ton of free kills / farms up.
One defense option? Pls. If you want to destroy yas/zed in lane. Get a Rod of Ages, Hextech GLP-800, or the Protobelt. You are able to stack HP and be tanky enough to deal with an assassin's burst.

Also, if you don't stomp the early-mid then you ain't carrying shit with him, you literally have to rely on your team then.
