I'm willing to bet Taliyah has a "grounded" ability

She creates an area of unstable ground where the enemy cannot use dashes, and Cassiopeia's rework is being used to test it live ahead of time.

Anyone else think this is highly likely?

Nice catch nami. Similar to Garen how he gets a marked champion and then kindred came out.. xD

Or Graves gets ammo then Jhin comes along.

I like to think that Ashe's crit changes in her passive were also for Jhin.

So the Arbiter blue text goes away you're the OP, Hmmm.......

ChaosThief1 votes

Pretty sure that's a player behavior board thing only anyway.

Deep Terror Nami2 votes

It's for PB and Misc only.

Probably, Riot has a habit of doing that: Graves AA ammo system, followed shortly thereafter by Jhin; Veig E stopping dashes in its place mid dash but not blinks, rework Poppy coming shortly thereafter with same on W. I'm sure there are others I am forgetting

Understandable though, they develop the tech for one project (most likely Jhin, Poppy, and Taliyah) and it makes sense to use it elsewhere where it thematically fits to get the most bang for your buck.

AATTRROOXX7 votes

Yes I agree, but Poppy's rework was nowhere near Veigar's.

Yasuo 's wind wall and then Braum 's E

It's not a habit though. Riot says that they use things like that to test new mechanics.

Ackelope1 votes

If they like to do this to test new mechanics, and do it frequently, doesn't that make it a habit? A habit is just a regular practice, as far as I know.

Khadaver1 votes

Oh, i call it a habit when they can't stop doing it and have little control of whether they do it or not.

50000000000000001 votes

I'd call that an addiction.

:P

La Barbotte6 votes

yup, and a knock up since shes yasuo's friend

Moonshade3 votes

in her story she even knocks up someone and Yasuo uses Last Breath on them

Bad Idea: Taliyah/Yasuo botlane

Kill lane bot lane, ADC jungle. Kindred

I think/hope she'll have more terrain-augmenting abilities (like actually changing the map); the idea has been floated a couple times. I think some Reds have commented on it, if only to say it'll mess with the map, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're pushing that envelope.

The Ecdysiast3 votes

Considering Bard's and Aurelion's E's, it's very possible they'd go for an ability that creates a staircase of some sort that players can all walk over.

MrBuffington1 votes

I was thinking more of like, actually creating and destroying terrain semi-permanently. Probably not going to happen though

MrryZ2 votes

That sounds incredibly difficult and most likely buggy af to destroy terrain, creating terrain however sounds quite fun and creative

did someone say BUGS AND TERRAIN azir smashes down the door

It's the Shuriman special :^)

I have wanted that type of ability for a while, and this would be AMAZING!

Sidenote: Eragon was one of my favorite books as a kid. Never made it through the third one tho...

Axis the Dragon1 votes

Eh, Elder was probably the best in the trilogy (I refuse to call it a cycle because of how long it took for the 4th book to come out - by then, most of the Eragon fans I knew had long forgotten about the series) but Brisingr was alright.

A Liberal4 votes

Yep, we've seen it before with Garen's rework being a test for Kindred, and Graves rework being a test for Jhin

TotalJerk4 votes

Every time they did a role pass so far they borrowed some code from an upcoming champion. Garen used some of Kindred's mark, and Graves got Jhin's ammo system.

TeCoolMage1 votes

I'm pretty sure Jhin got Grave's ammo system, not the other way around.

TotalJerk1 votes

Graves' rework came out first, but the system was borrowed from Jhin who was in development at the time.

She can control stone correct? So she will probably be a support caster tank with a lot of stuns, and an aoe ultimate that maybe acts like a pantheon ult, except with a huge ass rock? Just thinking outside the box here.

OurLestrade2 votes

I'm imagining that she's an anti-mobility mage of some sort, yes.

Graves Jhin Illaoi Zyra Yorick

The Ecdysiast2 votes

She better have a knockup to synergize with Yasuo.

Rook Loux4 votes

This was basically confirmed in the story

facemelter7102 votes

it would be super bad ass if she could destroy and hurl part of the rift walls

nami tf2 votes

I bet she "rocks"

SleepyWolfie2 votes

Or Illaoi, she is the byproduct of the juggernaut reworks. Juggernaut reworks, some time later Illaoi appears who is a Juggernaut too.

Zone of Endless2 votes

There's probably a 3 hit invulnerability ability somewhere.

Velzard of Koz2 votes

She'll act like parent figure. You are nasty? You are grounded. Luckily you will be able to help with house chores to cancel the effect prematurely.

Spaceman5pff2 votes

Almost guaranteed!

after all, They adjusted devourer for ranged champs right before kindred release. I bet Taliyah is also someone that can rly utilize the method of hp / mana sustain built into post-update catalyst.

káchigga1 votes

Where is there info on taliyah?

gubigubi1 votes

Please no more dash stopping champs its so anti fun.

That being said I'm probably going to play an absolute crap load of Taliyah games when she hits the PBE

TeCoolMage2 votes

Something only an assassin or dash ADC would say

Zackeryss1 votes

It also might have a 3 hit proc and deals %hp damage.

dr lichdeath1 votes

prolly

I think she's gonna have a mobility spell similar to Aurelion Sol's E, where she sort of slowly slides forward on rolling slabs of earth. Think Toph from Avatar, or Terra from Teen Titans.
