Why is it when I click one secondary rune to switch...

...the other one gets replaced?

Can we get this fixed already? Went into a game as Malphite with Bloodline/Coup de Grace when I wanted to replace bloodline with Presence of Mind.

Honestly, it wouldn't be an issue, if it didn't seem inconsistent.

If I recall correctly (can't be bothered to open the launcher and check rn) if you have 2 minors selected, one from the 2nd row and one from the 3rd row, then swap the one from the 2nd row for one in the first, then it will not swap positions. However, if you swap the rune from the 3rd row for one first one it will be.

Which makes me thinks that it's just an ordered list of some kind that they're using and they haven't bothered to go back through and remove or mute the automated sorting.

Basically, I think what's actually going on is that in the grid layout of the runes, the one relatively above the other will always be displayed as the first rune, while the one relatively below the other, will always display as the second rune.

The solution is so bloody simple - click the one you want to replace, click the one you want to replace it with. DONE. If they want to do the re-ordering thingy or whatever, then clear out both slots as soon as I click a different rune so I can select the 2 from the start again instead of randomly replacing one that I might have wanted to keep.

I mentioned this in a bug report. Basically what happens is it ALWAYS switches the second rune.

It swaps the older rune with the new choice

It's relatively inconsistent as well, wich bothers me. If you have a bad system at least fail all the time instead of some of the time.

It is always consistent with the way it does the replacement though...

You pick 2 runes from 3 rows. So you have 2 runes chosen from 2 rows. When you choose a rune from the 3rd row, the FIRST rune you chose, regardless of which row it is found in, replaced by the new choice.

So when you choose your 1->2 runes, Rune 1 is always replaced when you choose into the unselected row.

It's simple.
