EndlessSorcerer2 votesTanks honestly work pretty well against Vayne in teamfights if they have backup. Vayne hates getting locked down and many tanks can CC her. There is a reason that she wasn't a common pick when Cinderhulk junglers (i.e. Sejuani, Gragas, Nautilus) were dominating.
If you have someone else to follow up with damage (such as a burst mage. assassin, or bruiser), she dies pretty quickly.

It isn't as trolly as you might think. Full AP Mumu can 100-0 Vayne with W Q R AA E Q and she can't really do anything about it.

Rand0mH3r0X1 votesI believe Amumu support would be the best option. He has the CC to get Vayne locked down enough. Another Champion with this ability could be Sejuani. Support Amumu is out-of-meta for now, and I hope he stays that way because I just don't want to see him sad about all the nerfs.

Daxterr1 votesAp support is pretty effective against vayne , especially later in the game. His base damages are really high so you will want to get magic pen runes rather than ap. Around level 5 or so your combo will start to HURT and vayne will have to watch out. Level 6 is a weak point in the lane (unless you are ahead already) because your ult will not save your adc in a fight, so save your skills to peel like a normal alistair or get your jungler.

Vayne is one of those champions that if you're good at ehr then you do well with her. People can't stand that. No one ever wants to admit that they got outplayed or someone's better than them. It's always OMG VAYNE OP. Lets assume rito gives vayne the evelyn treatment. Cinderhulk/tank meta comes back full force and with every other adc in a nerfed state the role is pretty much deleted from existence excluding like...jinx, sivir kalista, and tristana. Then you guys will just make a OMG KALISTA OP thread. The problem is not vayne's kit. It's bork. they buffed the item twice along with buffing vayne's attack speed per level a while back. combine that with the fact that the standard rune page also has a ton of attack speed AND all of vayne's counters aren't highly played cept maybe corki, vayne is in a REALLY strong state right now. But she dosen't need a rework or insane nerfs. Other things need buffs. like 60% of the Adcs.

YossarianSensei1 votesYou don't have to go to the extremes, surprisingly it's almost like the game wants front liners to pick a balance between damage and tankiness because like all things in the world, too much of a good thing is bad.
The game doesn't intend for anybody to be unkillable, even regular ADCs will shred tanks when built. It's just straight designed in the game that Tanks are only going to get so tanky.
So what this means is Silver Bolts is intended to get good value out of a regularly armored Tank. If you stack absurd amounts of armor to 'counter' Vayne, you're just giving Vayne or any ADC for that matter much more value out of their items than your own so of course you get fked.
