LeBlanc PBE, since no one is on PBE forums I'll just post this here.

Why is Annie allowed to burst a whole team down with 0 counterplay as a MAGE, while the squishy single-target assassin Leblanchas to wait 1.5 seconds before she can get her burst off? You need to at least reduce the delay. Otherwise you will need to buff her damage and whatnot, before you realize what the real problem is, her delays. Fix it before it's too late! Honestly I think she's going to be Kalista-tier after the rework, which is sad.

Right now it's 1.5 seconds throughout the game. In lane this is managable, but lategame this is really bad. What do you think about this idea:

  • At level 6 the passive delay is reduced from 1.5 seconds to 1.25 seconds
  • At level 11 the passive delay is reduced from 1.25 seconds to 1 second
  • At level 18 the passive delay is reduced from 1 second to 0.75 seconds.

1)- Anne can NOT burst a whole team down to zero. She can burst squishies to 0 and STUN a whole team.

There's a difference bro. Plus she's a mage with no escapes- that's why she has burst and CC. LB can beep boop outta there whenever she wants.

Seems like nobody gets her concept. She's supposed to be like a pack of wolves, coming in for a strike to quickly back up and try again. She is NOT meant to be a quick combo assassin like she currently is. The sigil leaves LB with 1.5 seconds to deceive her opponents and leave them guessing where she will strike from next. That's where both her strengths and her counterplay come from. I've seen some tricks on the pbe that make zed look simple, and are incredibly powerful if pulled off right. If you cut down that time, you are just cutting down on counterplay, which is not the point of the assassin update.

This thread is completely retarded.. Why you compare a short range burst mage with a mobile assassin? Your the kind complaining about tank meta when they dunked by Darius.[zombie-brand-facepalm]

I'm just going to ignore the fact that you think Annie is somehow going to burst an entire team to 0. I have to agree that I had the same thought about her passive, the wait to proc the Sigil should definitely down as the game goes on. From all the PBE gameplay I've watched, it just seems to make comboing really clunky. Not to mention that late game, kiting around for 1.5 seconds to assassinate might just you blown up before you can do anything. Ironic really.

Let Leblanc rot

  1. God.. Stop with that "Why is Annie...". Just stop with it. She can and that's it.
  2. LB was super strong with no counterplay for so goddamn long that well... She deserves it. I'll most likely hate those changes, but so be it.
  3. I haven't played new LB yet, so I simply cannot say much. So I'd leave buffing for 2-3-4 weeks after she hits live.

I'll ask you up front: with her current bases and ratios on the pbe, what do you think are the chances of tank Lb coming out of this?

Kaioko10/31/2016, 8:05:14 PM1 votes

For starters comparing Leblanc to Annie makes zero sense as they play completely differently and offer different things. Secondly Annie's combo deals 225% of her ability power assuming she hits everything and then adds tibber's damage into it. Leblanc on the other hand deals 220% without including her passive or the second proc of her chain; if you include those she's at 350% of her AP.

Point being she deals plenty of damage without that 1.5 seconds. Not as much as before but she now has the ability to deal more if she manages to outplay her opponent for that 1.5 seconds and that can be done even in late game after trying it on the PBE

Well, she is much harder to kill and more mobile than Annie, also I think it is rather problem with Annie than with lb.

Reducing the delay would only make her gameplay pattern more stale and annoying to play against. The delay means that the enemy has time to react to her and it also means Leblanc has to plan her attack instead of mindlessly just jumping in. There's more gameplay with the delay.

Annie suffers from the same issue in my opinion. Her gameplay is stale because her most impactful abilities are instantaneous. Landing them isn't hard, you just gotta be close enough. If her R had a travel time (like Gragas' ult) + increased range to compensate, she would be more fun for me.

Annie isn't a healthy comparison. That's like asking why a bullet does more damage than an orange.

The Deckowner10/30/2016, 4:46:20 PM1 votes

her damage did get buff to compensate the delay.

maybe annie doesn't have mobility nor the range of leblanc and her bullshit clones?

  • She doesn't burst a whole team unless she's fed. In which case shame on you for feeding her.
  • LeBlanc (originally) could dash in, burst you and the teleport right back out. If Annie goes in, she STAYS in.
  • LeBlanc has a slow, a snare and originally a silence. Annie has one stun she has to charge to use.
