Riot, how do I kill or stop Swain when my ignite is down?
As an AD champ, how do I even remotely stop Swain?

I love how swain is a "master tactician" but his whole strategy is to use point and click spells, press r, and walk forward.
Don't fight him.
Compared to other mid laners, he doesn't have massive low counter play CC or single target assassination abilities. Wait either until he is low on mana, or get your team to group and force a team fight.
If he isn't fed, that shouldn't be too difficult for you. He isn't a particularly potent duelist.
Hit him for 500 dmg 2 times per second, with 1.2k crits. If he uses zhonyas-back a bit, then repeat
- AD champions like Yasuo or Zed have huge mobility, use it.
- ADC's can kite Swain and make him cry. All you have to do is stutter step and make sure to not be caught by a snare. Positioning.
- Get the jungler to camp you because of his lack of mobility.
- Push the wave to make him useless mid game because he's shit at farming anyway.
- ^ That is what don't fight means. Push and back off. Ward very often.
- Roam after pushing to get yourself ahead, if possible.
i mained swain mid for a while now. As an AD champw, i know only few champs who can challenge the swain.
Warwick, Zed, Olaf, Riven. possibly Darius.
But swain does excels versus melees, so its a bit of a counter intuitive question. Better to have ranged CC poke champs.
Btw, executioner is not very good versus him: its a low ad item. Sure it has grevious but thats not what is necesserly good versus him.
If im a swain and i see that i can just go SV or WoTA. or just zhyonas while you attack or ignite.
The point is if you are melee, you are already at a significant disadvantage. I bit like facing Darius or teemo top.
his Q slow, E dmg amp, W hard cc will kill you before your grevious wounds are relevant or even get to reach him.
So to not fight him is actually a good advice for MELEE AD champs.

I swear I can't win a duel against Swain, period.
I went full AD Lee sin (I know not a tank) and caught him without ult, kicked him into a wall away from minions, and I was dead before I could escape the snare. He just stood there and took an AD beating to the face. We both had like 1 item.
Swain is just cancer. Huge AoE root, does damage by point click or standing near you. Even though he's not really mobile, his harassing poke is really painful with just a few ticks.
