Rounding Out my Champion Pool

I am in the process of trying to round out my Top Lane champion pool and could use some suggestions.

Preferably, they are champions that can contribute something to the team in a clear manner (ex. ability to hard engage, make picks, disengage, poke, split pushing, etc.), that can "patch up" weaknesses in a team composition so to speak. My goal is to have around 4-5 picks that can be chosen to counter a general pool of top laners and/or have a variety of ways to round out a otherwise lacking team composition.

My current pool is:

Pantheon Darius Malphite

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance community.

If it helps, my personal preferences are:

Darius Counters tanks (and many fighters) during the laning phase and shut them down. His high early damage, sustain and ability to ignore armor (Black Cleaver, E's armor penetration, R's true damage) make him very difficult to build or lane against and let him crush opponents in lane. Irelia Counters squishy and/or ranged top-laners, competent duelist and great for diving the backline during teamfights. Nautilus Excels at initiating and locking down targets during teamfights. His ultimate is fantastic for teamfights he deals decent AoE damage. Maokai Excels at protecting allies during teamfights (peel and damage reduction) and locking down opponents. The damage reduction on his ultimate, untargetability on his W and healing through his passive make him extremely difficult to kill during fights. Poppy Reliable tank who excels at peeling and disengaging during teamfights, countering mobile champions and strong in 1v1 fights. Very durable due to her passive's shield and W's bonus resistances while providing good consistent damage. Singed Excels at proxy farming, applying map pressure and dealing massive AoE magic damage during teamfights. He can easily become a nigh unkillable pest.

They are all rather reliable picks when played properly (capable of handling most matchups) which provide noticable utility and scale well into late-game.

Champions I could see your pool having the biggest difficulty against would be:

Chogath Illaoi Yorick

If you were looking to add 1-2 more champions, I think the following would be good options: Trundle - strong against all 3 of the mentioned champs, can split push, not great engage but his pillar can be quite strong Kayle - Very strong split push, can be a God in team fights if you get enough gold, provides some utility with the ultimate and heal. TahmKench - Makes for a strong front line. Can save teammates or catch out enemies, and rounds out your team reasonably well (Yorick would still be an issue). Yorick - Underplayed but very strong in the top lane. Can split well even when he's not in the lane, allowing you to put pressure on a lane while being grouped up.

Anyway, those are some ideas for you. Good luck!

Kled might be a good choice for you, he's a decent split pusher. Plus has great engage for the entire team. With the ability to outplay enemies with his passive. Takes some time to learn but he is quite underplayed and quite good.
