If the new assassins are even more mobile than before, then why do they get a spellshield?

Ruot has said over and over again that asaasins should succeed through creative use of their mobility. If I am a skillshot mage, who already has enough troubles with champions like Zed, Talon, and Kha'Zix, then I should at least have the satisfaction of being able to hit my spells when I outplay THEM.

Mages have access to Zhonyas because they are immobile and easily jumped on. Giving assassins more defensive tools, when they are already super mobile, is a mistake.

Assassins no longer kill you in less than a second. Zed, and Talon all have delayed damage in there kit giving you time to react. (more than those 2 do but I think they are best examples) Spell shields are not that hard to play around if you are really in trouble hit them with your non CC spell first and then CC them. Their spellshield isn't instant like Sivir's where you can reactively activate it against the spell you are trying to block you need to think a second and half ahead of your enemy to block the spell you want because of the channel. Generally if you the spell shield shouldn't be a problem as long as you are positioned correctly with you team and really only FeelsBadMan.jpg when you are caught out alone and get attacked unexpectedly in which case you deserve to be in that situation due to lack of vision/map awareness/unsafe pathing.

My personal opinion on the matter is that they should actually nerf the duration it last though but the idea itself I think is relatively healthy.

Lethality is a unique stat on 3 items so building the spell shield item and Youmuu's/Duskblade feels bad on an assassin as you arent getting any more lethality from the item and will likely be built in situations where CC is a real problem for the assassin not built to say "haha no one can stop me".
