How to help Shen
#The reason why i am making this discussion is that Shen
has really big problems

** low Base stats**
-
he gets outscaled in early and late
-
problem with last hitting minions even under turret due his low base attack damage
-
even squishy targets (mage, adc, assassin and support) has got higher stats that Shen
-
** Soloq issues/pro competitive**
-
part of his spells are wasted because the allies doesn´t know how Shen works (Talking about his W and R)
-
only in pro players uses shen
in a right way -
High spell cooldown
-
talking about his W E R
-
** giving up his lane because of his playstyle (R)**
-
ulting away from lane + tp nerf

-
meta where you can´t allow to let your enemy push (+800 g tower)
-
** no wave clear **
-
forced to buy titanic hydra
for split pushing -
no sustain
-
most of top laners has got sustain
-
can´t afford to buy sustain items / use sustain runes
-
no damage
-
nerfed his damage on his q

E deals very low damage.

is it ok that even adc has more hp that Shen? or even his base damage is it normal that even other tanks has got higher base damage?
with a low base damage it is difficult to farm even under turret EVEN if you use your Q to farm that is not acceptable.
Shen loses seriously a lot of minions. and for helping him last hitting/ farm HE IS FORCED to buy
and 
- to resolve this problem shen only needs a buff of:
- +60 hp at lv 1 _( from 540 to 600 ) _ and maybe, but not 100% sure, a growth buff from +85 to +87 ( from 1985 at lv 18 to 2079)
- increasing his base damage by +5.5 and increasing his growth from +3 to +3.5 ( from 60 base to 65,5 base and at lv 18 from 111 to 125 )
so it would resolve the problem with the low stats, squishy problem, farming and why not trading with the enemy

Shen is used on competitive because of:

his ult

his cc

his W

q slow
by that i mean Shen is a good team fighter/engage champion, GOOD THINGS for PRO, but BAD on SOLOQ since you have to rely on your team. most of the time you end up being in a 1vs9 so you can´t do anything with Shen
so how can we resolve this problem and let him be picked more in soloq and not in pro. well it could be complicated.
- **we have to change his kit **
let´s begin starting with his q.
- Shen recalls his Spirit Blade to his location. Enemies the blade collides with are slowed for the next 2 seconds when moving away from Shen.
remove the slow from his q. then change the damage from 5-30 + ( +2 to 4% target max hp ) or enchanted 5-30 ( +4 to 6% target max hp ) to a flat ( + 3 to 5 % target max hp ) or enchanted ( + 5 to 7% target max hp) and changing his cooldown from a 8 to 5 to 8 to 6
then let´s work on his W
Shen primes his Spirit Blade, creating an area around it. If Shen or an allied champion enter the area, or after 2 seconds, the Spirit Blade creates a protective zone around it for 1.75 seconds, causing allies in the zone to dodge attacks.
Increase the radius of his W from 300 to 350 and the duration from 1.75 to 2.00 and reduce the cooldown from 18 to 12 to 16 to 11. but if an allies enters the area he only gains a aa damage reduction about 20% / 40% / 60% / 80% / 100%
now let´s work on his E
- Shen dashes in the target direction, dealing physical damage to all enemy champions and monsters he hits and Taunt icon taunting them for 1.5 seconds.
change the cooldown from 18 to 10 to 15 to 10 but changing the duration of the taunt from a 1.5 to a 0.5 to 1.5 ( 0.5 / 0.75 / 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 ) then change the damage from physical to magic and his base damage + scaling with health too. from 50 to 150 + (+ 12% bonus health) to a 80 to 200 + [ + 3% Shen´ max health ]
and at the end his ult R
- _Shen Stand United channels for 3 seconds, shielding the target allied champion for up to 5 seconds, increased by 0% − 60% (based on target's missing health). _
let Shen channel his ult from 3 sec to 4, shield the target allied for only 3 sec instead of 5 and removing the_** increased by 0% − 60% (based on target's missing health)**_ to a flat 200/400/600 hp shield. changing the cooldown from 200 to 160 to a 180 to 140
- ** giving up his lane because of his playstyle (R)**
so about that. Shen has to literally give up his lanes if he wants to ult so if he has already a bad laning phase. let him have a better laning phase giving him sustain. so we would reduce the problem with his sustain situation and laning phase

now my idea to give a decent sustain on shen + bringing back vorpal blade is.
** Every empowered auto attacks with Twilight Assault on an enemy champion or monster heals shen for 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 + [0,5 % maximum health] (in total 12 / 18 / 24 / 30 / 36 + [1,5 % maximum health]) ENCHANTED auto attacks with Twilight Assault on an enemy champion or monster heal shen for 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 + [1 % maximum health] (in total 18 / 24 / 30 / 36 / 42 + [3 % maximum health]) **
i know this isn´t vorpal blade but still. it is something.
with that it would help shen laning phase and helping him with trades. don´t worry shen is only allowed to heal on an enemy champion or monster.
the last thing i wanna do is his passive. now for the passive i have no idea what to do it. or how to change it. because it is a good anti poke and trade shield. so if you have any idea. just write it down the comment and i will edit it at the end. or you can change what my idea is

**STATIC COOLDOWN 14 sec After completing an ability's effects, Shen shields himself for (8% max health 2.5 seconds.) if shen uses his q on an enemy champion it reduce the cooldown for 3 sec (1 sec pro hit) 2 for hitting an enemy with his E and 3 sec if he ´´dodges´´ an aa inside his w **

we reduced the cc of shen + balanced his ult so it would more be usefull in soloq and letting him more viable in top that as a support. and maybe now we can se people building other things on Shen.
