So, Riot, i wanna talk with you about shen...

first of all i wanna thk you riot for making a new skin for Shen. It´s been 5 years since Shen got a new skin and i will definitely buy it!...actually i really want but for what...without using it? i mean when and how should i use shen...if i could use other champions who are balanced/stronger that shen? let´s talk about his REAL problem and his ability. 1) *1 his base stats and growth stats are LOW at lv 1 AND LOW AT LV 18 with 540 at lv 1 and 1985 at lv 18... wow even adc have more hp that him. *2 his base ad and ad growth is really low that he can´t last hit very well. 60 at lv 1 and 111 at lv 18... *3 his base armor and growth is low for a top laner and support! 34 at lv 1 and 85 at lv 18... is that a joke? ok he BUYS TANKS items...BUT COMPARE TO OTHER TANK CHAMPIONS. his base armor and growth are low. *4 his base heath regeneration and growth is too low compared to other champions. 8.5 at lv 1 and 21.3 at lv 18...

2)his ability are weak and we can all agree with that. *V7.24 Twilight Assault Twilight Assault Base damage reduced to 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 from 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40. that hurted too much for shen. can´t last hit caster minions under turret.

his passive is meh... KI barrier has a nice cd but his shield strength is too low. can´t take all that poke trade from the enemy. (and with the ionia fevor irelia´s passive XD) i´m talking about a 52-101 shield with the 14% bonus health ratio...goodonly in late a good way to change it is. 70-160+(+6% max health)

his q as i said before the nerf in patch 7.24 destroyed him. and a good solution for his q is. reverting the nerf and a new passive. if shen hits with all his three empowered aa on an enemy champion he will deal another 10/15/20/25/30 dmg OR if shen hits with all his three empowered aa on an enemy champion he will heal for (4% max health)+15/20/25/30/35 #Vorpal Blade

his W has A BIG CD 18 SEC AT LV 1. that´s too much. 18 / 16.5 / 15 / 13.5 / 12 sec... a good change would it be. 14/13/12/11/10 and let him protective field be from 1.75 to 2

his E...well let´s talk about his E. first LET HIS SHADOW DASH BE UNSTOPPABLE...so is possible to e+flash in a teamfight. second LIKE HIS W his ult has a big cd...and that is not acceptable... let him be 16/14.5/13/12.5/10 second. And his dmg need to be changed. 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 (+ 12% bonus health) to 60/90/120/150/180(+8% MAX health)

his ult only needs a cd reduction... 200 / 180 / 160 to 160/140/120sec 3)shen is REALLY FUN played in jg. and if he recive those buff it would be nice and cool to see him played jg and top. most of shen players are lefting behind shen because he is too weak.

RIot...i really wanna play shen he is too fun but it´s impossible to win with his current state. and i really wanna buy pulsefire shen and play him with this skin because on the pbe he looks so cool! have a nice day

maybe you are right but there are some champ that can trade and snowball you very fast...and most shen main. like me max his q and e first. then w... BUT thk you for your opinion and have a nice day!!!

It's kinda the point that he has low base stats and weak laning.

He has one of the strongest global ults, as well as amazing utility in the form of his dodge field and multi-man taunt (which is also a dash).

His base stats are low because of his shield passive. If the player times out his spell hits well with the cooldown, it can get to a point that he hardly takes damage.

Now, is that to say that he isn't potentially on the weak side right now? No, he arguably is. But you can't expect him to have really good laning power with the other tools he brings, and these buffs you propose make him too strong there, while not compromising at all on his late game and team strengths (and making stronger in some cases).

1)so wanna still let shen be a champion with 45%winrate?

2)his base stats are low because of the shield passive. ok i´m laughing. other champ has a stronger shield passive but ok...

3)how can he win his lane if he get snowball and poked ? without sustain. long cd ability. oh wait. his passive yeah. and how should i spam my passive if i cant attack the enemy champion? After using an ability, Shen Locket of the Iron Solari item shields himself from 50 - 101 (based on level) (+ 14% bonus health) KI BARRIER COOLDOWN 10 sec. If the triggering ability successfully affected at least one champion, Ki Barrier's Cooldown reduction is reduced by 4 - 7.5 (based on level) seconds. well i assume i bought doran. that means my shield streng is 61,2 lv one. and my enemy is a gp with grasp. he use his parlee on me with grasp. 106 dmg(calculated without the armor and magic res) vs a shield with 61,2 shield. in total he deals to me 20 dmg. but i didnt hit him with my q so my shield is on cooldown and after 6 sec he use his q on me. shen shield is use less...on in late is a good shield...but in early everything suck from shen.

Been spamming a lot of Shen lately after taking a long break from him, and I gotta say in retrospect, the Q nerf was ass. Like even if I play him even moderately well in a game, I get tilted out of my mind how difficult it is to last hit under tower even with Q. It feels like I'm missing ~25 cs over the course of the game from just towershots alone. I get that Shen is one of those notable champions where you do much better if you stay calm and don't tilt, but goddamn I wish I didn't have to be explicitly in combat with all of my mental fortitude AND my enemy laner AND my awareness of the map. Just the latter of the two is already more than enough.

I think it has to do with how much of a balancing nightmare Shen has historically been for competitive though unfortunately. It's actually the reason why his ult CD is so long.

Honestly, if they just reverted the Q nerf or at least lessened it, playing Shen wouldn't feel like an impossible task for the first 10 min of the game. Forget the Ult, W, E, and passive buffs, if they just gave Q even the tiniest bit of accessibility, you could at least passively farm top and try to stall as best as you can while you wait to enable your carry to pop off with ult. I guess it's what I get for finding enjoyment in a champion that has huge competitive value when he's even slightly strong ¯\(ツ)/¯
