Can I get some feedback on Corrupting pot

item 2033

Seems pretty useless to me. Okay of course this isn't true at all, but for 500G? Now while it gives you a lot for it's price and seems like a must buy on mana dependent top-laners, it never seems worth it just never seems worth it.

For 500G you can start an armor item with item 1029 for a measly 300G and still have 200G to spend on regular health pots, which heal you for more. The mana regen and the burn are obviously which pushes this pot to such a high price, but I still don't see it being worth it. Is it a noob trap? It was to me, but is there something I'm missing?

because you get 3 charges plus the burn each time u return to base compared to having to buy pots every time you come into lane in certain matchups. the item is almost useless if you barely back for some reason but if you play normally its a better buy in the long run

If you use all three charges of the potion once, it's 375 health. If you use them twice, it's 750 health. If you use them 3 times, it's 1,125 health. This is why people think of corrupting pot's health more like it's 2.5x ruby crystals than 2.5x health potions.

4 health potions is 600 health, that's it.

The damage burn is very strong in trades early.

225 mana is at least three extra abilities, which, for many champions, is more damage than is the healing difference between corrupting and health potions.

Cloth armor doesn't give you damage over time nor any mana Corrupting potion gives you 3 charges every time you return to base You're not spending any additional gold on potions either

What more do you want?
