10 Game Team Ranked Requirement + 10 Solo Que for Any Ranked

I believe that adding a prelim Team Ranked requirement in order to play in either the Solo/Duo Que or Team Ranked Que, would weed out a large number of the player base. This would keep the anti-social and diminutive players, trolls, from easily being assimilated into the ranked society and reestablish credibility to ranked.

As it stands right now, solo/due que ranked promotes hyper-carry use and selfish gameplay. With the ranked requirement, it will give some valuable player experience and give people an even fairer chance at being ranked appropriately.

The 10 game Team Ranked requirement will force people to associate like teammates, in order to achieve the objective. This will be the main barrier from allowing trolls into Ranked solo/duo. This will also keep smurfs from easily being thrusted into solo/duo as well. This will also stop AFK/DC bots from entering the game as well as they would need to be on a 5 man team before entering, playing 10 full games. AFK/DC bots would have to form before and have some human interaction. This human interaction of forming teams might even bring back the popularity of team ranked.

20 games sounds like a lot, I know, but this requirement would keep anybody from being banned, creating a new account and going back to "smurf" into another ranked series.

The biggest impact to this system is that the Prelims would be massively altered because the team games would go well, and the solo que games would be dreadful. If the requirement is then met, the Team portion will average with the solo portion and you'll be appropriately ranked by this, possibly saving players from an awful playing experience.

This system wouldn't be perfect. There would still be trolls, there would still be smurfing, but there will not be as much. If we can eliminate 2 or 3 trolls then this requirement would be a success. Trolling is infectious and we need to stop it.

Let me know if you've been trolled, and what you think would be the best way to prevent trolls and afk/dc from being in ranked.

riot actives enforces, " you can play any way you want". split pushing. kill hungry hyper carries, passive supports. and kills lane supports. adding a team ranked requirement only gates who can play ranked by who can get more organized. that's 100% unfair to a good amount of the player base who play irregularly.

you dont like toxicity? mute them, and ignore it. trolls and feeders happen, gating ranked play wont stop it.

Okay, do you have an answer to bots?

Just because you have figured that becoming selfish in gameplay by muting your team doesn't exactly mean that the problems fixed.

I'm fine with blocking off a portion of players. That's my full intention. I'm not hiding that at all. Some irregular players might be lost in that, but a majority of trolls will be lost as well.

Have you ever heard of gated communities? Gated communities keep out unwanted and potentially dangerous people. A gated ranked will keep out unwanted and potentially dangerous players.

Promoting teamwork and interaction should be as core to the game as the gameplay. There is four other people you're playing with.

Thanks for the DV and degenerate argument.

Being forced to play as a premade doesn't suddenly generate team work, especially not over the course of a small number of games. I have played normals and ranked 5s with people for multiple seasons and half the time we still play like we're soloqing while talking on skype with 0 team work and coordination.

All your suggestion does is stop a lot of people from playing soloq.

Upon first meeting, people act differently as they would after getting to know them. Using this psychological skill to the advantage would be the creation of friendly interaction. You figure out later that your teammates were really bad and that you didn't get the plays or role you wanted; and you adjust.

The major problem is the fact the we, as male players, have a major testosterone build up but not another source to match up to. The computer screen doesn't allow real danger to be faced and therefore some people are allowed to become deviant.

I'm not saying create a team and stick with that ranked team only. Not allowing teams at the prelim level will allow people to not have to worry about being part of a team; they would just need four other people willing to play with them. That being said, who would want to play with a troll? And for the troll's benefit, who would want to play with a feeder/noob.

If this stops people from solo/duo then fine. Anti-social dimwits and trolls are what everybody, but trolls, want to get rid of.

This again, wouldn't be a perfect system. If the entirety of League is comprised of bad and anti-social players ( I wouldn't know because at the college level we all get along great ) then you're right, a lot of players wouldn't be able to play.

I have friends that I've added and I've brought them to know and love certain champs, buy RP and skins. They start to play Ranked and decide theirs too much anger and frustration and quit League altogether. The only reason I haven't quit is because I avoid Ranked.

Ranked is competitive play. There's too much frustration and there shouldn't be. Not playing Ranked has a less damaging effect on people because they can relax. Nobody wants to put effort into four other people who don't give a care at all about them or the game. I'm fine with Normal being the new place where newer and abusive players end up. This leaves a refuge for those that actually try.

Thanks for your experience. Half the time is better than none of the time; an experience that a lot of people get. You don't actually see it, but you are proof that this works.

trying to apply gated community practices to a FTP game is ludicrous. Muting players fixes the toxicity problem because you can no longer see it, it might as well not be happening. Trolling is normally a direct result of toxicity to begin with.

I'm fine with blocking off a portion of players. That's my full intention. This is what i'm pointing out here, Your fine with it, but the majority of the community and riot are not. this is why it will not happen. riot isn't looking to outright block guilty or innocent players, they are looking for player reform as a first option. They are not concerned with prevention ( although they have made efforts to do so, with player rewards ).

Thanks for the DV and degenerate argument.

Didn't down vote Fyi, and my arguement was solid. Riot doesn't want this and neither does the soloq populace.
